I just downloaded the new version of GPUZ and came to know th PowerColor tied up with them a give away.

  1. The giveaway starts September 01, 2011 and ends September 31, 2011 (1 month).
  2. Prizes will be given away in the week of October 1st.
  3. contest is open to participants from all countries.
  4. All desktop systems are welcome to submit their entry (no notebooks).
  5. All cards are welcome and eligible to win, not only PowerColor.
  6. Anyone, any age can enter where legal.
  7. The winner of the first prize will be determined by the lowest total score in Futuremark 3DMark03 default. Should multiple participants have the same score, one will be randomly chosen.
  8. The second prize will be chosen random from all contest submissions, no mter the 3DMark03 score. A valid score is required.
  9. The score link in Futuremark must be active when the competition ends, during the competition you can leave it inactive if you don’t wish others to see y score.
  10. Entry into to giveaway is only possible by running 3DMark03, uploading the score and submitting the score info using GPUZ on the tab "PowerColor Giveaway".
  11. If a winner can not be contacted after 5 days another winner will be chosen random.
  12. You will not receive any communicion to y submitted EMail address other than a winning notificion in case you win.
  13. Winner will not be responsible shipping fees.
  14. TechPowerUp or PowerColor shall not accept any responsibility any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by you or any other participant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize. TechPowerUp or PowerColor are not responsible any problems or technical malfunction of any telecommunicions network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or any web , or any combinion thereof, including any injury or damage to y or any other person's computer or mobile telephone reled to or resulting from participion or downloading any merials in the competition. [Tech] PHP Configurion help Large file uploads

I am having the WORST time getting large files(videos, specifically) to uplaod in PHP. small files work, but larger files do not. I am not sure if it is a timout thing or a max upload size thing. I've checked wh seems to be everything I can find in many different umns and on google trying to pinpoint the issue, but have had no success.

[Tech] Backing Up Outlook?

I built a new computer someone and am trying to backup Outlook 2010 from their old PC to new one. I saved the PST file and all of the files loced in "C:\Users\Charlie\AppDa\Local\Microsoft\Outloo k" . I see all the emails, tasks, etc., but there were folders creed organizion th didn't get transferred over. All the emails th were in them I believe got lumped together in the Inbox. Wh did I miss th I didn't get these folders?

[ the moment th's my only available pc... My desktop in system specs is home (I'm the summer place) and my laptop in system specs is out of action waiting to get an 8800M GTX I ordered].

I have Simcities 4 Deluxe (released 2003) and Gothic (released 2001) (both on Steam) which run well... I played Simcities quite a lot of hs but haven't yet started Gothic.

Since I have a month and a half remaining using laptop bee moving back home, I thought of asking y suggestions.

My preferred genres are stregy/simulion like Simcities, Civilizion, Anno 1404, The Settlers series and RPG / light shooters like Oblivion, Fallout3 and Fallout New Vegas (which is why I got Gothic apart from it being bundled with Arcania).

I also love games like Limbo (2D adventure). Untunely laptop doesn't meet the specs Limbo.

So, which good old games would you suggest me?

So people found web offering customers in Europe th bought HP Touchpads the insanely high prices bee the price drop refunds the difference.

However, the web was asking people's bank account inmion. instantly threw up red flags and they contacted HP.

HP said the is fraudulant and they will take legal action against the .

Then HP responds again saying the is actually legit, run by a contracter they hired to handle the refunds. Oops...:laugh:

All I could do is laugh when I read . But it just goes to show you how baddly HP is keeping track of wh the arms of the company are doing.

Hey everyone,

Every time someone picks up the phone to my call they complain of echoing and hearing their own voice? I noticed the noise cancellion was turned on so I turned it off, then everything is fine!! However every time I am in a conversion I have to manually turn it off and it gets slightly annoying, can anyone help?

I am using the Case Me Tough Case but I hope th's not causing the echoing? Was fairly expensive and used it since owning my galaxy s2, other than th the phone is incredible! highly recommend it!!

I was under the impression th iCloud saves applicion/game da. It doesn't. Both times I've done a restore all my applicions and game saves are wiped clean.

Hey, anyone had any issues where the iOS5 will work fine about 2 weeks and then it goes back to the activion screen and cant be bypassed. The phone was never upded, it had beta 4 on it all the time, the UDID registered the whole time, nt removed. Its a verizion phone. My two other iPhones with ios5 are working fine. I cant figure out, restoring doesnt fix it and when I call apple dev support they are no help.

  1. Processor= preferably i5 but older versions like core2duo will do AMD also
  2. Gaming=Not so interested in laptop gaming but will use to run minld games so 512 mb to 1gb card if no card th's no problem
  3. Screen=not much of a concern
  4. Weight=Light weight as far as possible like less than 2kg

The Sce Code traler included on the phone looks gre however I am unable to play any other HD movies.

The High Quality option in YouTube makes no difference.

I had some HD moies which I put on my phone one in an .avi m did not play, the other in an MP4 m (same as Se Code) just dislays a broken video file when I tempt to play it.

Hello I'm running a 4850 which only 1 HDMI output.

I've just bought a new receiver which supports HDMI and I'm about to buy a new 24" Monitor which also supports HDMI.

With only 1 HDMI out on the 4850 how do I go about connecting up both the monitor and audio to my receiver. Why isn't there two HDMI out on the 4850?

Joining the 23inch MultiSync EX231W with TN panel and MultiSync EX231Wp with premiumgrade PVA panel, the EX201W ultrhin (16.4mm bezel depth) desktop monitor offers extensive viewing angles (176°H/170°V) and contrast rio (25,000:1 dynamic, 1000:1 typical). Here's the situion...we've upgrading a lot of things in the office as of le and started with the monitors first. I ordered a number of 24" 1920x1080 monitors everyone and some people are using two. one particular PC is quite old, and the graphics card both a DVI and VGA port. The screen plugged in via DVI looks fine and crisp, the VGA one is blurry.

computer in question is being replaced by a new one I'm actually building today, but the nVidia GT440 I ordered also 1 DVI and 1 VGA, not 2 DVIs. Am I screwed and need to replace card with one th 2 DVIs? Can I use a DVI cable with a converter to VGA on the end or will th result in a blurry image as well still? Are there any options to getting both screens looking nice with particular card?

My girlfriend wants a shebeast of a computer so we can play L4D2 together and possibly Dead Island and other newish games as well as World of Warcraft.
She's currently running a 6year old HP with an nvidia 6600, 2 gigs of grandmother ram and a dual core processor th sits like 1.9 ghz or something.

I have purced a reliance netconnect + connection (reliance da card) my laptop. Now I have an office laptop and "two mobiles with WiFi capability".
How can I share the internet connection among all my devices.
1. Using a cross cable and sharing the net connection between the two laptops is one option.
2. Tried to install connectify. It sent my reliance netconnect + software a toss. I had to do a system restore to get things back to normal.

320 GB HDD

I am running Win XP on . Now I want to upgrade RAM to 4 GB and buy a suitable GPU so th I can play Driving Simulor, Crisis and few other games.
Wh GPU is better a budget of around 6K ?

If I buy a GPU, will it conflict with the internal Intel's G31 graphics accelor ?

Wh is the power consumtion after placing new GPU ? Do I need to buy a new PSU ? IF yes, is 500W enough ? wh brand should I buy (budget PSU is about 3K)

Hi all,

Three weeks into my new iphone from leaving BB. Love the phone enough point th I'm giving up my $45 a month from my company to stay. The iphone just does so much more PERSONAL stuff th I don't think I can give it up. Although, I he th my company isn't supporting iphone time, it will some point.

On to my problem. I want to sync my laptop calendar, and can't. I have Outlook 2007, which is configured to my cox.net email. Now, when I got the iphone, I synced the cox.net address directly, didn't set up Outlook till AFTER. Not sure if mters or not. I have calendars set to sync in itunes, I've got the purple dot on the calendar section on my PC on the iphone, and I'm not sure why it won't sync. I've searched around quite a bit bee posting, is google sync my only option? I'd prefer to just have them sync directly if I can.

Does anyone have issues with iMessages disappearing in a thread?
example, my girlfriend will iMessage me, i hear the notificaion and it shows I have an unread message on the app but when I go to the thread, nothing is there.

I'm able to see a preview of the message in the notifcion pulldown , and the only way it to show up is by accessing it from the noticion bar, or by going to the thread, and scrolling up until it finally shows up.

I disabled my pin prior to upgrading to Beta 7, and it still happens occasionally.

Any tips?

[Tech] Extremely Slow Transfer Speeds Over Network

I had an old PC in my office th I had put 2 SSDs in a RAID 0 array in. We ended up buying new parts, sans the SSDs and reusing those. I did not want to reinstall Windows 7 and tried to see if the PC would work without a clean installion. It did, I uninstalled all the drivers and installed the new ones. Everything seemed fine, except the transfer speeds over the network are extremely slow. It's a 100 MBPS switch we use, which should be about 11 MB/s, but PC is getting about 17 KB/s. The SSD's transfer re is fine when copying to itself. The speedtest results are fine too, it's only over the network th I have issue. Wh could be causing ?

OK so I am using an ASUS M4A79 Deluxe, which is AM3 but DDR2, SA2 and USB2.

I just got a SA3 SSD and am running a 6core Phenom II 1100t, so I figure my CPU is pretty bandwidthstarved wh with DDR2 1066. Time DDR3 and SA3. And of cse AM3+, in case Bulldozer proves worthy of upgrading to.

Keep in mind:
I run a highend sound card, so no real need the onboard
I run 2 GTX 570 in SLI, so of cse LEAST 2 PCIe 16x are required
I want a board th supports the fastest DDR3 th my 1100t or Bulldozer will support
I don't overclock.

Wh's a good board me? I have told th the more expensive mobos out there cost a lot because of overclocking feures and onboard devices, but I don't know how true th is. I certainly have purced mobos with the idea th pricier ones were higher quality but maybe I have paying feures I don't use?

So wh's a good mobo me?

An internal presention slide leaked to the press reveals some details of AMD's next generion "Trinity" APUs th succeed current generion ASeries "Llano" Fusion series. The presention was run by AMD's principal foundry partner, Global Foundries, outlining upcoming products built on the 32 nm HighK metal ge transistor (HKMG) process. With Trinity, AMD is expecting a 50% improvement in gigaFLOP permance over the present generion, which doesn't sound farfetched considering it will use nextgenerion Piledriver CPU core architecture and Radeon HD 7000 series graphics, which uses VLIW4 stream processor architecture.

Piledriver is an evolved x86 architecture th uses the modular shared resce design of Bulldozer, with much higher IPC compared to Stars architecture. VLIW4 stream processors ensure higher permance per square millimeter die area. Trinity will be available notebooks as "Comal" and "Virgo" desktops. They will be branded in the ASeries. AMD expects a 2012 market entry the two.

I have the Verizon iPhone 4 with iOS 4.2.10

Let's say my first album a name th starts with AA, and it 5 songs in it, and my next album starts with AB, and it 5 songs in it, and so on. How can I play all 5 songs from th AA album into the AB album without me going in and manually select the AB album? I know I can play an album, but after all songs are played, it doesn't continue to the next album. I have to manually select the next album. Would there be some kind of a free app th allows it?

I've just taken delivery of my SGS2.....makes my old HTC Desire feel really antiqued! :p

Whilst I am new to the joys of Samsung and their Android interpretion, I have come across one slightly annoying issue.
When I recieve email from my Yahoo! account, which I've set up in the generic email app, I get a notficion. Th's fine. However, when I then delete th email, even with a wait of a few minutes, I get another notifcion saying I have new mail, which clearly I don't!

Everything working fine.

But whenever i use google maps, size of folder "Google Maps" increasing. So could be a problem in future because of limited memory of phone.

So kindly tell me how can i transfer/Shift "Google Maps" folder in external memory card.

I need to get my optical disk drive out, but 2 of the 4 screws th hold it to my Antec 1200 are stripped pretty bad. Wh are my options?

I'd prefer a solution th doesn't need a drill the simple fact th I don't have one easily available.
Would supergluing a screwdriver to the screw work?

The screws are not only stripped but also screwed in pretty tight.
They don't have a head large enough pliers to get a grip.

Hi guys, please post if you have any idea about the availability of the new AMD A series based laptops in India. Some models are available in ebay.in but all are 15.6" and the HP probook 14" is too expensive me. I am ready to spend upto 40K and my preference is portability(11" to 14" would be fine).

I think my router is 10 years old. I have some connection issues sometimes. As in, I will have internet and then it will die. Then come back. Is my dino router ready to go?

Yes, I have tried upding firmware. They stopped doing updes like 5 years ago it LOL.

I have restarted and reset it also. So I am pretty sure it is because thing is ancient. A little side note i suppose: I can only find like 2 servers on COD (pc). I think it is because thing is so old it can handle th many requests.

New router needed? Or new modem? New something? lol

So i recently just picked up a new iPad 2 and immediely jailbroke it. I installed SBSettings and occasionally click on the processes tab to close programs and free up memory. One thing I noticed is th the Facetime applicion is always on and even if I close it, it opens right back up.

Is normal? Why would th always be running? Any help would be grely apprecied.

So a few days I bought the Corsair Survivor 8GB (the blue one, not Xtreme or whever it is) and I'm pretty chuffed with it so far however I tried putting on a file th is 6.53GB large and it tells me there's not enough space. However, when I check the free space on the USB it says 7.45GB so wtf?!

I know th the 0.65GB is probably taken by the software or whever but I really don't get why it says I have insufficient memory :[

Anyone know why?

Jailbreaking on the iOS 5 beta is done y own risk. Note the consequences and possible issues you may run in to if you jailbreak on the iOS 5 beta.

As mentioned a little while earlier, Apple released iOS 5 beta 7 to developers. those of us th are jailbroken, generally speaking, we have to wait a little bit until the next jailbreak the beta is released. time, th is not the case. MuscleNerd <b>

Small server app the PC (http://www.vectir.com/download/pc/) and Android app (available on the market) th allows remote access/view/control of y desktop via wifi.. find it dead handy when I'm laying in bed and want to change the stream I'm wching without moving ;)

Thinking about shelling out the non 30day limited ver, but wondered if anyone had any personal favites.. (or free ones !)

So I was just signing up on here finally(long time reader first time poster, everything I have ever had a question to usually had an answer and I have never needed to post) I have a signure file to host up a SapphireTech Toxic 5850 with the OC'd values from Sapphire 1000/1300.

Not sure if I went about doint it properly and was hoping to get some feedback on it.

Did I save it properly and will it work?

I have only BIOS flashing a VGA card over the cse of year, and I love RBE. So if anyone feels like dropping some info about my file it would be grely apprecied.

People are complaining of "why isn't card xxx there?!" Often they are mentioned in the text accompanying one of the feured cards. It's usually because they are revised versions eg GTX 285 or didn't make the cut eg HD 2900 XT.

iOS 5 Beta 7 is now available download Apple developers developer.apple.com. The differences appear to be minor, and include a tool to check if you're using prive APIs (ha), and some slight changes to the way iCloud is handled by apps.

It's available via OTA on y beta5+ device or the Apple iOS Developer Portal now.

I Bought my Galaxy S from Pixmania as sim free but it several software programmes in Polish and a startup screen logo called ERA which I believe is a Polish provider. I live in Ireland and Pixmania told me they can't help and to go to Samsung. Can anyone help. The phone works gre, apart from the annoying Polish programmes.

No, you didn't accidentally click on a headline from early 2010. And, no, isn't a joke. Apple lost another nextgen iPhone prototype in a fashion eerily similar to the conditions in which the iPhone 4 went missing months bee the fth generion device was meant to be seen in public.

Although no shortage of unanswered questions remain about developing story out of northern Calinia, here's wh we know sure. Apple is working with police to recover wh is presently believed to be a missing iPhone 5 prototype. The device went missing a bar in San Francisco's Mission District.
