I spent ages yesterday individually connecting each phone contact to their fb account and then today all of a sudden they all just dissapeared again! I don't want every fb 'friend' to appear in my phonebook, so how on earth do I do so th it's not going to delete them all each day. phone won't defe me, it such good reviews so I am baffled why I am having problems.

Hi,

I recently purced the logitech Z906 speakers and when I set them to the 3D mode, I hear sounds through all the speakers, but voices won't come through the back speakers if someone is speaking behind me and I cannot hear certain sounds:

1. Can't hear sword shehing/unshehing
2. Can't hear sword making contact with enemies
3. Can't hear sounds enemies make (Like a monster roaring)

Please help? I have the witcher 1.2 and have not found similar problems to one on ums.

Also, If I set them to normal stereo mode, I can hear everything, but I'd like to utilize my surround sound system.

so i have had board about 2 weeks now an im not happy all

first off the bios is total crap an many problems [like mice/fan plugs/missing temps]an the bios is so fuc*** slow

then it 2 fake pcie 16x.s board only 2x pcie x16.s the other 2 1x an 4x
so ths bullshit

fake xfi sound [is rilly a shitty realtek audio chip][using real xfi extream music card ]

intel lan driver crashes windows[so i heard]have not noticed myself]

allso south bridge chip set problem [running 2x ssd.s in raid crashes system on stock SB volts]

so i called asus 3 times today an nothing they just keep telling me to call back

so i am about to say fu** asus ever

any ideas guys or am i fuked [im hoping they can fix some of crap but theirs alot]

Apparently U.K carrier Vodofone outed the storage capacity of both versions of the upcoming iPhone 5 in the product description of their Vodofone Sure Signal network signal booster earlier today bee amending the description and removing all signs of the iPhone 5.

hi frnds

in my hp pavilion g4 laptop the option of blue tooth and wifi is available but when i try to on them(fn+f12) nthing is getting on not even a failure notificion

i tried opening wireless manager and on but the buttons are not active

i tried with the help menu where it says go to bios while restarting and go to system cofigurion and select built in device options but th menu is never available

And even the LED on the F12 button which indices the stus of blue tooth is always red

please help me im in despere condition

I want to downgrade to 4.2.8 and not get an infinite restore loop. Should i start TinyUmbrella, uncheck request from Cydia and set to Cydia on exit, then click save SHSH then use Pwnage tool to build an IPSW then start SHSH then restore with the custom IPSW?
Did i miss something?
Do i need to recheck request from Cydia and or set host to Cydia on exit some point?

So, I know it's le in the iP4 game, but I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out, after over a year in the Android world. I got a good deal on a used VZW 32gb iP4 and sold my Droid Incredible 2 morning, so the official jump starts tonight.

I've used iPod Touches, I've got a iPod Classic, and I've messed around with iPhones a little, so I know a bit, but I do have a few questions.

1) Is there any way to get Holidays, Facebook events, etc. in the calendar? I've got my Google Calendar synced to the iP4, but those events are showing up, even though I have them set to sync on my GCal.

2) How can I add ringtones th I have saved on an SD card from my Android phone?

3) Is there a way to add people to speed dial other than just putting them in the favorites tab?

Thanks any advice. I think th's all now, but I'm sure I'll be back!

My PC does not start. Only the Power LED glows, CPU, PSU fan does not start.

However PSU fan starts if I remove the CPU Power supply (4 Pin connector) from mobo and hit Start button!

A decision on Rambus' third Barth I pent is expected within months. These pents were used by Rambus to accuse Broadcom, ST Microelectronics and Mediek of infringement in an ITC complaint it filed nine months ago.

Rambus is well known its aggressive litigion and is currently in a $4bn fight against DRAM manufacturers Hynix and Micron. The news th a couple of its pents have declared invalid will please many in the industry who view Rambus as little more than a pent troll.

While the USPTO might have passed its judgement, it is unlikely th Rambus will let its two pents go without a fight. After all it is one of the few technology companies th come out on top in the ctroom more than most.

The Federal Trade Commission wants to remove the "blemishes" from the mobile app world. Th is, the FTC is hunkering down and digging in on smartphone app developers who mislead consumers into believing th their iPhone and Android apps can effectively tre or cure acne.

The first case brought by the FTC involves mobile apps "AcneApp" and "Acne Pwner." According to a press release issued Monday by the FTC, "marketers who advertised th their smartphone applicions could tre acne have agreed to stop making baseless claims in order to settle FTC charges."

Help, every time I connect my phone to my VW Golfs bluetooth the handsets media player starts playing in a nonstop loop. I close down the media player and it starts up again. I have unticked the media box in bluetoothsettings/devices/VWphone, the cars display even reads' unable to connect to player' but each and every time the handsets media player just keeps starting up and playing non stop, any suggestions would be grey received. thanks.

So I am getting one. Lol. Not the way I had intended though. I decided I wasn't happy with the Three network as well as the rubbish handset so rang today to cancel and return. Alas, because I have made calls and sent texts, they refuse to let me cancel even though I am within the specified timescale. I kept quoting the sale of goods act to them and the distance selling regulions but they point blank refused to cancel unless I agree to a charge. I refused to agree so they refused to cancel. Oh joy. I've written to their ceo so will have to see wh happens.

Meanwhile, I called TMobile, my current provider as they have some good deals the moment. I have ordered the Eye Eye on a truly unlimited internet plan, phone is free, tariff a bit steep but manageable, especially as I won't have a landline once I cancel th.

So tonorrow I will have my new toy, in white to mch my white iPad. Hopey I will Have heard back from the ceo of three by then too and will have a better idea of wh I can do.

I just know once I have the s2 I won't want to get rid of it so will fight my corner with three and let them take me to ct if need be. I'm covred by DSR and Sale of Goods Act so can't see them winning in a ct btle to be honest. Will meanwhile just stop using their network and pack the phone away so th it doesn't get damaged.

Can't wait my s2 to arrive tomorrow, cancelled my dental appointment rher than wait another day. Lol.

Want upgrade photo editing, minimal gaming, HD movie wching

Monitor Need 23"/24" IPS Brand?
Please suggest the monitor. I searched the monitor and found the DELL Ultrasharp 23" is good and it is IPS. Is any other brand having IPS? monitor does not have the HDMI. Is it required?

GPU ?
GPU, i have no idea. After searching, found th I GPUs are good. Not sure to go which model. Budget will be 34k strictly as i am not a big gamer. And i need a GPU which will be future proof. to be supported by current MB and also in future if i upgrade the CPU and MB.

HDD 1 TB ?
Which is best WD or Seage ?

Size doesn't mter.. but looks is a factor.

yes.. a few things I would like to share..
Its my first phone th I will buy in range. and i had to use it least 23 years.. So android upgrade and support is important me. and of cse longibity

I was made my mind LG Optimus One p500.. becuase I saw it flash support.. ler after few research I came to know from lg um.. th only indian handsets are being sold with a declarion th it flash support, but it doesn't have in reality.. and they do not have any support in india

Samsung galaxy ACE is another phone I consider but it fails in mainly 2 cegories.. low resolution screen and lack of flash support.. though the interface is good and decent camera and music

Ler I came to know about HTC Salsa.. which almost everything i want.. except a pinkish camera..( pink spot issue) and I use facebook a lot... and heard it flash support too.. but recently i came to know th though it 512 mb rom.. after all the customizion it lefts only 122 mb(or less) free user... and many people are complainig about it and trying to root it off.. but as of i read in ums, th v2.2 n v2.3 the option to run sw from sd card.. little confused about th

I liked the little tweeks in HTC sence. and heard it releases upde first..

the colored feures are the most important factors I am looking

[Tech] Acer LED Monitor 21.5" Review

Hi,

I recently went on a Monitor hunt and after some work bought an Acer, here is my experience:

Make: Acer
Model : S221HQL
Link on Acer Malaysia : S221HQL | Product Model

Difference between above specs and wh i got:
Feures: It HDMI.
Package s: Only VGA Cable.

Price on street(Bangalore): Rs.7600.

Time monitor used bee review: least 3 weeks.

Additional Feures:
Includes a software (CD/Web download) th lets you configure monitor correctly. Called Acer eDisplay Management, but is a light version of a professional package: Portrait Displays, Inc. Customer Support.
allows us to look sample images etc. and correctly tune Contrast/Brightness and all sorts of stuff.
Advantage: The tuning is done using "Mouse" and much easier. Allows creion of profiles etc.


Disadvantages/Problems faced till now (Model specific and general):
a) Initially on HD the image was coming in the middle of the Monitor with large black border (gap).
Fixed via AMD/I configurion (very very hidden config called Overscan).

b) While using HDMI cable, the monitor does not switch off power saving. Instead when CPU is turned off/Sleep/Hiberne etc. it shows message "Cable Not Connected". Left it overnight, never goes away.
Problem disappears on using VGA cable.
is a Major problem according to me. I am yet to isole it to either my MB Graphics or Monitor, but believe it is a Monitor problem.

Support incident raised with Acer India online, awaiting response.

Apparently on Googling found th is a common problem to many monitors while using HDMI (not just Acer).

Advice: Stick to VGA or DVI.

c) HD does not work without HDMI or DVI cable.
appears common to all monitors.

Other comments:
The buttons on monitor are nearly hidden (Except Power Button ofcse!).
is not a problem as the bundled software makes config far easier on screen from within Windows. Buttons are only a backup.

Picture Quality:
model requires some tuning/configurion to show good pictures.
Was able to put enough eft to get it once, lost the config when I changed from VGA to HDMI cable, too lazy to do it again :D.
Will post details another day.
Note: I use the Win7 Bing Dynamic theme, images look good :)

Any benefits of HD?
No. You need 3240 inches screen to even notice HD. On smaller screens, you just bump up pixels and then to compense, increasing Scaling, otherwise you will not be able to read ;)

Any benefits of using HDMI cable instead of VGA?
Yes.
Max possible resolution goes up.
Picture is actually clearer than with VGA cable, it is a noticeable difference.
Note: You might be able to get advantage using DVI, but I did not have a chance to see .

Warranty and Service:
Three Years carry in.
Shopkeepers keep telling me it is a on warranty, but documention says otherwise.
Infact shopkeeper gave me monitor in hand and said "From now on if anything goes wrong, go to Acer service! :D". Ofcse I had tested it once in shop, but also after I made payment and he made bill.
makes me wonder, it is better to but on Flipkart and other online stores. There is no advantage of Brickandmortar shops.


I am willing to answer specific questions anyone on monitor bee you make a purce decision. Also, will post some updes ler when i have time and pience.

Other contenders in Market:
Samsung, least 1.5K more expensive. Might have more feures, but my budget was already stretched.
Viewsonic and others, lower price, but I did not want to touch such names.

is a bit hard. I'm in a fix. My family is going through a financial problem. Plus, I'm off to college. Plus we just shifted, plus, the car decided to conk off NOW, plus a million other problems all occurring the same TIME!

I need to find work, work I can do remotely, from my laptop, or something similar, so I can devote 23 hs a day and earn a bit, to go by monthly expenses without having to rely on my parents.

[Tech] Need help on RAM timings

Intro: New overclocker in 2009. I like to read and welcome thoughtout advice. I'll keep post short while not omitting any important details (wish me luck).

Short story:
Assembled system, under my sig, in 2009. Friday morning I changed the command re from 0 to 2. After th, my system is now on fire (without the smoke).
Now I'm wondering wh other obvious noob mistakes th may have made. After reviewing my system, wh settings would you recommend?

Long story (skip if you don't require unnecessary detail):
When I first put together the system (to the left), I had HORRIBLE stuttering problems, even in Windows (overclocked or not). G.Skill had instructions to up the voltage to 2.1V (done). I also used the SPD timings. Well I've using th two years now, and have had barely noticeable (but increasingly annoying) hesition/skipping/stuttering. I thought it was the video card until I swapped it out, but still the problem remained.

Hs and hs of searching on um (and others), endless tweaking of drivers/removing OCs and basically utter confusion....obviously I was the lone man with a singlecard stutter....then I saw a recommendion on G.Skill's web to move the command re to 2.

Are you kidding me? Yup now the Window's logo doesn't stutter on startup, and neither does BF:BC2 when I unscope as a sniper.

I felt pretty retarded, but more relieved than anything. I thought th would have imported with the SPD profile. OBVIOUSLY NOT. Assumptions make people stupid.:(

Please help me feel more retarded and comment below. I'd be very happy.

Hello.
Does anyone know how enableing channel interleaving can cause a black screen on boot?
I had another post on a while back.
But I only just found out th it was channel interleaving which caused it.
To sum it all up
Whenever i use memory slot 3 or 4 with channel interleaving on.
The pc dosen't seems to boot.
Without channel interleaving it works.

Hello all,

I usually have my PC set up with my Samsung LE32B450 via the DVI port using a DVI > HDMI cable.

However last week I moved my set up to another room and now it does not seem to detect the PC.
I am using an I Radeon HD2400 and connect from DVI to the HDMI but the tv does not seem to detect anything plugged in (I get the "No Signal" error on screen.
The Graphics card recognises th the Samsung is connected, and I can adjust resolutions, refresh res and all other settings but I get no picture from the TV.
I have tried to extend or duplice the display but no joy. I am able to adjust the settings because I have a VGA plugged in monitor which works fine. The TV also works fine from the VGA port but not from the HDMI? I have 3 HDMI slots and none of them seem to work, it was all fine until I moved the set up and now its driving me :banghead:

I have also tried unplugging everything from the TV, and the PC and just booting with the HDMI slot plugged in but no luck :mad:

P.S. The reason I can't leave the monitor in the TV's PC in slot is because I need th my Xbox 360 to get HiDef (ish) gaming!

Any help would be grely apprecied! Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have got a Samsung GTC5212i. I have bought the phone just bee few months. I am facing some problems with it when using the Samsung New PC Studio. Please guide me through . The messeges are quoted.

1. I get error messege when trying to use the Media Manager "Can not run the mobile phone explorer. Please change the mobile phone connection mode based on the instructions below.

1. Please disconnect the mobile phone from the PC and connect it again.
2. Select portable memory mode when selecting connection."

2. Install/Uninstall "The selected mobile phone does not support Install/Uninstall."

3. Upgrade Mobile Phone "No device selected."

4. When I try to send files from My Computer icon present in New PC Studio I get "Can not run the mobile phone explorer. Please change the mobile phone connection mode based on the instructions below.

Hi!
I have a Samsung LCD (SyncMaster B2030) th I brought last year on july . Since connecting it from the first time it is not going to it's nive resolution 1600x900 (even if I do something and set it to 1600x900 it sets but the screen is not completely viewable only 2/3 can be seen rest 1/3 comes only by dragging the mouse to left):???: . Even after installing the graphics card (Zotac GT 240) it still doesnt goes any higher than 1280x1024.

If it mters I Have installed the lest graphics driver . I have installed and reinstalled but it doesnt do anything.

Can anyone tell me wh the problem could be.

Its connected to my system, but neither its visible in device manager nor in windows explorer nor through disk manager.



In device manager it's showing usb mass storage, my device is not visible here.

Just interested in knowing peoples thought's on game.

After having waited all year it I'm still undecided wether it was worth my overexcitement it's release.

I thought the comb was fairly good, it was extremely fun the start however as the game progressed melee seemed to become redudant, anyone else find ?

I've read around and it seems people were a little annoyed by the length of the entire game, it took me around 78 hs the story, I was also a little displeased with but looking back I dont actually think I would have enjoyed the game had it gone on longer than it did.

I currently have a 4890 2GB GPU. I am looking to upde. I have a bout £350 absolute maximum, But really dont want to spend th much. I have done some research on some reviews and i get the impression th the 570 and 6970 are pretty buch the same apart from 6970 price is slightly cheaper. But wh about the 580? I want to be playing games like Btlefield 3 on 1920x1080 and bman arkham city. I have playing call of juarez the cartel and dead island on 1920x1080 and i do suffer from frame drop. so finally, after an upgrade to the Nokia C600 from the Nokia 1100, i now hold the power of taking awesome pics!

You all remember my poor little case th i started modding when i was 17? Well, its time to professionalize it now :D

is wh was done bee hand:


the aluminium sheet was the only thing done to it physically. lights were added ofcse but ths no biggie.

here is the original case. i had the 7th bezel from the top.

One more thing. Mod done with VERY little money. So far money spent = Rs 200 ($4)



Here is wh i plan on doing.
1. Cover up the acer logo on the side panel with putty MSeal
2. Cut a hole in the bottom of the front bezel better aerion.
3. Remove the paint of the front bezel.
4. Cut out side panel a window.
5. Beautify front bezel with some snazzy lights.
6. Fill the hole in the front bezel with some meshing or grill.
7. Make or get a fan controller.
8. Make a overall master circuit all the controllers.


So Far:

Epoxied the aluminium cut out to the case. Filled and smoothed out the joints. "ace" filled and smoothed out.


Bezel hole completed. Its masked up to prevent scuffing.

Also I must mention th it no vent the bottom side of the laptop. The air input vent is near the rear side of the touchpad and the air output vent is near the power input port. [Tech] Custom Acrylic and Aluminum Shroud

I started by cutting a 15 degree angle on a piece of 1" acrylic then slicing off two pieces the end caps. Then I cut two strips from 1/2" with a 15 degree angle on each side and trimmed those to length to fit a custom louver grill I had made by a Hot Rod shop in MO. I chose 15 degrees to mch the angle of the case feet.



Precision cutting and fitting was required. Cutting bevels with a table saw in acrylic is difficult because unlike wood the plastic grabs the side of the blade and pulls up and into the blade making parallel lengths a real challenge. I wasted a fair amount of merial and even tried some other blades bee I got the lengths to come out even close...much sanding was required.


I have some ancient SilenX fans I use fitment and a taped them into a pack of three to be sure I had the interior dimensions fo the shroud correct.


Bee I started the glue process I made sure all the saw marks had sanded off to 220 with a block.


I also dressed the cut edges of the long pieces taking care not to change th 15 degree angle.


I sced some 1/16" Blood Red transparent cell cast acrylic to use the top and bottom. merial will stabilize the 4 side pieces and tie together the corners. When finished only the polished 1/16" edge will show.


I took painstaking care to align all the parts perfectly square and fl so the finished product would sit flush on the top panel.


Cutting plastic introduces he and internal stresses which wil make parts curl or bow...hence the clamps to keep the long side in contact with the base.


I used Weldon 3 and a Capillary Applicor to fuse the pieces together. sounds much easier than it really is. Getting 8 surfaces to align all once is no mean fete.


I was concerned about strength of the glue joints because almost all of the base is removed except a slim perimeter.


Here you can compare the case foot angle and shroud angle.


As I wrapped up the night I decided to use some Weldon 16 to reince the long joints and corners. Weldon 16 is a thickened acrylic laden cement th dries clear and turns into acrylic and adds strength. By tipping the piece on it's side the cement ms a nice fillet the juncture.


The next day I routed out the base and applied a top and routed th using one of my radior temples.


The shroud sanded all around to 220 point.


I think a shroud just like but polished would be stunning, but one is being taken a stage farther...


Here I've cut a strip of aluminum from a 2'x3' sheet I have on hand and trimmed to fit in between the two edges of the red plastic. The aluminum will be powder coed to mch the case. Only the edges of the red plastic will show. The rest of the shroud plastic is hidden...so no need to polish th.


As you can imagine cutting perfect pieces out of sheet aluminum is not the easiest thing to do...but I have some tools, tricks, and techniques th make the process fairly straight ward... me :D


And finally I drilled the strips and taped them in place and drilled the plastic and used some special stainless steel torx drive plasticspecific self tapping screws to secure the piece. was necessary because powder co parts need to be hung on a metal rack...strips without holes would be a real trick to powder co...


Using various tools I dialed the strips in until I got metal to metal joints all the way around with no overlap.


I really like how the acrylic and metal contrast and compliment each other...but the top is still not in place...the louver grill gets mounted over th pretty red top. I'll be getting around to th next week.

Making the switch from blackberry the thing I will miss the most is the blinking LED on the front so I dont even need to be near my phone to know if I have a message. I have read a few rumor of a similar LED on the iphone 5, but not from any of the reliable sces.

Okay, so I want to get an iPad 2. I also know th iPad were advertised as coming with one "free' iOS upde, and then you would have to pay (similar to upding an iPod).

So I want to wait till iOS 5 is released to get an iPad 2, so th I will be able to upde to iOS 6 free. Yes, I know, a minor concern in the grand scheme of thing.

But if I buy an iPad 2 from a store (say Best Buy) AFTER the iOS 5 upde is out, but the store bought iPad 2 still iOS 4 installed, am I using my "free" upde iOS 5?

Did th question make sense to anyone?

I'm helping a friend build a crappy computer, just some spare parts, an hlon X2 7850 and Radeon HD 2400 PRO. The things lights up, the fans spins but I'm not sure its posting and it won't detect the monitor, I've tried everything, messing around with the RAM, unplugging etc. nothing seems to work. Wh do you think is wrong and wh should I do get thing to work?

In my Desktop Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G i.e. DDR2 667MHZ 1GB ram is installed. I want to upgrade my system by adding more 2GB or 3GB ram.

I know absolutely nothing about iPhones since I have a BlackBerry user the last few years so please excuse my ignorance.

I received an iPhone 3G from a friend because they have moved on to the iPhone 4. Wh I have is an unactived, firmware 4.2.1, restored to manufactured settings, nonjailbroken phone.

After reading through many webs and wching several youtube videos I tried to hacktive/jailbreak the phone with absolutely no luck.

Wh I'm finding is th I cannot turn the phone on/off with the sleep/wake button. I can press it down but I never get the off slider button on the screen. is making it extremely hard me to get the phone into DFU mode.

I ordered an "&T Sim Card Brand New Unactived" hoping th would get me past the hacktivion pe; I'm waiting on delivery.

I get message when connecting to iTunes and message on the phone screen.

I'm starting to feel like there's no hope phone. Any suggestions?

[Tech] How to build an external 5.25" floppy drive

As you may have noticed, most new m/b's don't have FDD connectors, so if some bizarre reason you want to access a pile of old 1.2meg floppies, you're SOL. There is no such thing as an external 5.25" drive. Go ahead, look. They don't exist. The only exception is some funky contraption sold by Apple th requires it's own adapter card.

But since you can still get external 3.5" FDD's th connect via USB, you'd think it would a pretty straight ward swap. You would be wrong.

When you crack open a 3.5" drive, and I do mean crack open since they are welded (sonic welding) shut, you find a weird 26 pin connection going from the USB interface to the drive electronics. And they don't even have the decency to make it a standard pin and socket connection. Oh no, they use a ribbon cable th goes into some sort of pressure connector.

tunely, there is an adapter which I assume is made purpose. If not, please let me know since is my plan the moment. Here's a link and a pic.



The guts of the USB interface termine in a 26 conductor ribbon cable. But wh I can't tell from pic or any other I've able to find is if the smaller connector takes a ribbon cable. It looks like it doesn't since it a socket accepting pins, but I don't know.

In the worst case though, I have no problem wiping out the soldering iron. Wh I'm interested in are opinions as to the best way to go about . thanks.

Games such as Grim Fandango and others still work remarkably well on XP but need workarounds on 7. Of cse as the thread title denotes, I figured on making a list of games which work gre on XP but not so on 7.

Ok, so i recently bought a brand new ocz SSD from newegg not knowing th there was a 34nm and a 22nm part with almost identical part numbers

(OCZSSD2‐2VTX60G vs OCZSSD2‐2VTXE60G)

not knowing and thinking everything SHOULD work i installed it, raided the two drives together and installed windows with all the updes and drivers and wh not. a few hs into gaming i encounter a stuttering problem were my system starts hard locking every few seconds then just completely stops responding.

i dont give it much thought and think maybe its the video card overheing or something, so afterburner goes in & i setup a custom fan profile it. try again a few hs of gaming, everything seems well. exit game and come back to the desktop and a few minutes in the same problem happens again stutter stutter freeze.

OK, is a bit more compliced th i first anticiped, i start reading up how to flash the frimware on the SSD's all said and done 2 hs ler after doing a backup and flashing the drives everything is back up and running again. 5 hs ler after my gaming session i finally decide to go to bed and leave the comp on a backup. come back to the thing in the morning and you guessed it, it starts stuttering as soon as i start moving the mouse and locks again.

i finally went back to my order history to make absolute sure th i purced the same drive and go figure i didnt E vs non E drive, i do a bunch of research of the differences between the drives and it seems th they are very much different but share a part number. so ordering from the egg i feel confident th they would be awesome like always and throw me a bone and maybe give me store credit to buy the correct drive... WRONG heres the email i got back

Hi,

I got the samsung galaxy s2 yesterday and have tried to set it up, but I am used to quite a basic blackberry. I have 500mb of da to use each month. When I am home I am connected to wifi (but have a laptop and internet home so my phone isn't touched then) but I went into town today (an h max) and my phone had een about 100mb! Wh's going on?! I have tried to google solutions but people just say 'turn off da when out' but wh's the point of th, as th is when I need da! I don't use the internet an awful lot, I have 3 email accounts, fb (not very active) twitter and a few games. I just want it like my BB, where my emails come through and I get notified straight away and any fb activity too.
Am I missing a trick here as 500mb always plenty me, but re it will last me a week, which is just not good enough!
Any help would be apprechied.
(Can I just say I am clueless when it comes to terms so I have no idea wh things like 'syncing' means etc!)

An important thing i would advise anyone AGAINST buying those liquid neon tubes, or perhaps chode ray tubes too, reason being one of those tubes of mine went kaput a few days after the purce (and they didnt carry any warranty too), and a couple of days ler, its small control unit, i found was burning hidden under the PSU cover 'joyy' inside the cabinet, with smoke emaning from it. my nostrils did their job and caught the scent, but the foolish brain first thought th since i had started my comp after a gap of 45 days, must be the paintwork of the cabinet smelling, but when it intensified, i decided to play Sr. Inspector Daya & 'bust open' the sidepanel, and there it was ! quickly took action (slapping the culprit hard :grin: ), and took out the nonworking as well as working neon tube too from the cabinet ! now everything's peace inside the tank's belly :grin:

[Tech] Cooling upde advice needed QX9650 OC

My old Zalman9700 is showing its age. It was barely able to cool my old Q6600 chip 3.4G. I switched to QX9650 about 2 months ago. The he genered when it is overclocked to 4G is quite tremendous. It seems my CNPS9700 cant handle the situion any more so I am thinking of upgrading to a better cooler.

As I am using the Thermaltake Armor with 25cm side fan, the height of hesink is quite limited. Thermaltake suggests th hesink should be no taller than 5.5''~5.7''. As I remember I can fit a Tower120 just barely in. So now I need to think of a good CPU cooler than can keep my QX9650 cool as well as clear the huge side panel fan.

I have several choices in mind right now.

1. NHU9B SE2
2. NHU12P SE2 ( one is listed as 158mm, not sure if it will fit or not) Need someone to help me pining out.
3. Xigmek? Most of their stuff look fancy and they are all 159mm in height, not sure if they will fit
4. TUNIQ Tower120 Extreme, I used to try out the Tower120, It fits my ASUS Maximus mula and Armor just barely. Not sure if is actually a good choice.
5. Thermalright AXP140RT with PWM fan.
6. Scythe Big Shuriken, or the Shuriken 100mm REVB


Those are wh I am thinking right now. Which one do you guys think will be the best AND fit in my case?:D
