question might sound a little bit weird or baffling, but yeah, i would like to know wh percentage you should set the brightness correct colorshadowsetc represention? Is it 50%, 70% or even 100%?

100% looks TOO bright, and you can't hold it on th a very long time as the phone overhes fast.

Hi,

I'm looking a way to count the number of pedestrians, runners, bicyclists, rollerbladers, etc., using a bike ph, using time lapse video, th I can speed up counting on a computer or iPad. Ideally, the app will have these feures:

1. *It will work on an iPhone 3G. Yes, I know the 3G doesn't take video. But I have an old 3G th I can dedice to the task. Is there an app th will take many stills and stitch them together into a video?

2. *It will have settable frame res both capture and playback. I'll have to experiment to figure out the optimum. I need to take pictures often enough to capture every person but far enough apart th it doesn't cree huge files. Maybe I need two apps...one with a presettable frame re capture on the iPhone and another variable frame re playback on the iPad/computer.

3. *It will cree a file th can be sent to a laptop or iPad, via DropBox (preferable) or email, in a m th can be played back.

4. *It will be able to run untended least 2 hs, preferably more, on a single btery charge. example, the screen should go dark after initial setup. I would mount the iPhone on the dashboard of a car.

Low res will work fine. I only need to count people...not identify them.

You get extra credit if you find an app th superimposes the de and time on the image!

Hi there. I would like to ask a question. I am developing a on which I will provide iPhone prices in my country new and second hand mobiles which will depend on its condition and warrenty. Moreover iPhone accessories and some News and Blogs about iPhone.

But I am not sure about copy rights issue. Can I use pictures from google images? Or I have to purce different pictures of iPhone my . Kindly Help me in regard.

However, recent trends as explained by NVIDIA, disagree and it is in fact console gaming th will soon decline, as PCs have some compelling advantages such as ever improving graphics and moddability, to keep the gaming scene thriving. Techgage held a conference call with NVIDIA, where the company explained why PC gaming is on the up and up. PC gaming software sales are growing fast, according to comparive graph and the predicted crossover point is 2014:

So, how long can consoles hold out with their stic, aging technology? Not much longer, one would expect.

Another way to measure PC game sales success, is to look the continuing rise of online digital distribution. As you can see, sales of retail boxed copies have declined, while online sales have shot up:

While not shown on graph, there's no arguing th the biggest online plm, Steam, is extremely successful and shows no sign of slowing down. PC hardware can now render near photorealistic graphics th could only be dreamed of a few years ago, making them a much better plm gaming from a technical perspective. Also, the PC plm is very amenable to modding, which can build huge fanbases a particular game which helps to drive sales, something consoles sorely lack. Many gamers much prefer the control offered by a keyboard and mouse too. So, console gamers have long mocked PC gamers the "decline" of their plm, but how much longer? All is excellent news PC enthusiasts who like to play graphically intensive games and gives them a reason to upgrade their hardware regularly to the lest and greest. No doubt, it makes hardware manufacturers equally happy.

[Tech] Upgrading old hlon 64 Rig

I've kinda out of the loop on PC hardware lely, but I'm upgrading my brother's PC. He's currently running a hlon 64 on a DFI UltraD motherboard with 4GB of Ram and a Gece GTX 250. Looking upgrading the CPU, RAM, and motherboard. Looking about $500 budget.

So far I've decided on the Intel Core i5 2500K. Looking a good P67 motherboard and wh 8GB Ram kit you would recommend to be able to overclock the 2500K well. I've looking the Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte P67 boards, and not really sure which to go with.

I was thinking of Gigabyte P67 board because of the feures and price point:
GIGABYTE GAP67XUD3B3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SA 6G...

Not really sure about RAM, considering just not sure if its worth the extra money:
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240Pin DDR3 SDRAM...

[Tech] XFX 6870 BIOS help/questions

Have a XFX 6870 HD687AZDFC and have trying to find an easy way to increase the voltage to try n get 1000MHz/1250MHz stable. MSIAfterburner shows voltage is unlocked but changes do not effect actual settings.

morning I gave up finding an easy solution and decided to try BIOS flashing.
First tried using RBE and Iflash in Windows and changin the voltage up to 1.2 and setting the speeds 975MHz/1225MHz but after restart just got blue screens with ikmdag.sys errors.
Tried again thru USB boot to load an XFX 6870BE BIOS hoping it would give me voltage control. Flash worked and Windows restarted. I heard Windows load so BSOD had gone away BUT, I have no video. I get "No Signal" on my display from start on into Windows.

I reset my motherboard's BIOS so I could use the onboard video and I got the same "No Signal". I removed the 6870 and then onboard video works fine.
I've tried both PCIe slots, I've tried using an old VGA monitor, tried replugging everything, tried different PSU 6pin cables.
Still "No Signal" as long as 6870 is seed in PCIe slot even if BIOS shows primary graphics is onboard.

I'm guessing/hoping the problem is just something with the Black Edition BIOS conflicting. How can I set the card's BIOS back to original if I can't get a display with the card seed?

I understand I can run it thirty days without putting in a new license, so I want to download and install it now, and pay in a month when I actually get the license. Anyone know were I can get an image (preferably with SP1)?

[Mob] Verizon iPhone 4 iPod app playing music/podcasts with reverb

Hello!

Recently, when I play music or podcasts from my iPhone 4, whether into headphones, from the phone itself, or connected to speakers, it plays it with a sort of echo or reverb.

It does not do when I am on speaker phone.

I can't think of wh could be causing , but I use my iPod often, especially in my car on the long drive to and from work.

It's kind of creepy sometimes, depending on wh's playing, not to mention, just annoying th it's happening in the first place.



Any thoughts on wh could be causing , and how it can be fixed?

I want to be one of those crazy people in line my FIRST smartphone FINALLY and I am trying to plan whenever the de will be. Oh, and Apple stores in malls, where do people line up overnight? Hi Guys,

I've got a budget of £500 max to spend on an HD projector wching movies and playing games.
Must be either 720p or 1080p and have least one HDMI port. 3D capability would be nice but not essential

The projector room is rectangular and around 3.5m X 4m in size with a large Lshaped couch to the rear. I'll be projecting onto a the mt white wall first and then will look getting a screen. The room is in my basement and theres no windows so its dark without the lights on.

[Tech] S4 (hibernion) USB/network wake up

Hi,

I have annoying problem. When my computer enters the S4 powerste (hibernion) I can wake it up by just clicking with the mouse. Even when EuP is enabled the mouse can still wake up the computer. After a night of sleep I find the computer powered on. So not only can the mouse wake up the system, it also seems th network traffic can too.

I thought th hibernion was like power off but with the option to save the RAM to disk. least bee I always need to push the power button to boot after hibernion.

Any suggestions?

Hey folks, just recently upgraded my old Tocco Lite to the on, all singing, all dancing S2! :cool:

I was wondering how to get a new SMS message tone to register on the menu, so googled, and the result brought me here, where I found my answer! :)

I joined up basically so I could post my thanks to the guy who had posted th answer dandonnelly, thanks chap! :D

It's strange though, th as phones have got more complex, the instruction manuals have grown smaller and smaller the book of words my old Nokia 6610i was a massive tome which covered everything the phone would do, and all you get with the S2 are 2 little booklets th are like a couple of cigarette papers stapled together! lol There's a hell of a lot of useful info here, you folk are going to be my instruction manual! :)

I have an unlocked iphone 3gs using it on Tmobile network and would like to upde NOT to the very lest software which I think is like 4.3.5 or someting around those lines. I have decided to drop the case because the iPhone 4 is too nice to be cooped up inside one and should go naked. Since going naked means no protection, I looked around and found a body screen protector. The applicion of the ZAGG was nice and easy but you have to wait least 1224 hs to let it dry properly. I am quite surprised th it looks like if i don't have anything on the phone.
It's truely Invisible.

I'm new to Linux and th I've installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my desktop PC. I was curious about using Linux and wanted to give it a try. The more I use it, the more I like it. It's very good and contrary to the belief among some people it is very much user friendly.

But I'm having one problem with the printer driver. I own a Canon Pixma MP258 inkjet printer/scanner and tried to install the driver the device from the options given when I connected the printer the first time to the computer. And mistakenly I chose the MP220 from the menu th shows up since my printer was not listed in the menu. I thought th it was the closest to MP258.

Now, when I try to print a document page, nothing happens. Ler I tried installing the proper driver from the canon web but the default printer is taken as MP220 only. Nowhere does the option of choosing the MP258 comes.
Could you please help me with the problem? Can I make Canon Pixma MP258 the default printer?

I've able to install the driver too. The driver installs very easily with a few clicks only. But the problem I'm facing is th of preloaded driver. The first time I had connected the printer to the PC, Ubuntu automically recognized it as a printer and suggested a few pre installed drivers the device by showing a list of various printer models. The problem started when I selected the nearest mching printer (Pixma MP220) and installed it as the default printer (because I could not find Pixma MP258 in the list). Th was a big mistake! Now whenever I try to print a page through LibreOffice or the Document Viewer, Canon Pixma MP220 is shown as the default printer without any option of any other printer, even though I have installed the driver of Canon Pixma MP258 ler on as per the instructions in the web th you have suggested. The whole print command goes blank thereafter. Now I could brehe a sigh of relief if somehow I could make the machine recognize Canon Pixma MP258.

hello all, ive had an untune occurence with my main rig in sig it abit guru soft which recently told me my mobo was pulling 187Amps 3.2 356 foldin 24/7 stable all year it usually maxed 100 ish then it crashed a few times untill i stock speeded it upon which it still showed signs of illness ie using upto 140 Amps .

anyway sum popped it switches off instantaneously every time and its codes are saying its not initialising the psu or is then instantly shutting it down but 5v standby is their and the fans begin to spin,no post all i think my psu is to blame ?wh thinks you's??, i get paid wed so all will be right i hope after

ive had a multimeter out and my psu looks to be fine its up to running fans and pumps easy i think its the mobo or cpu

i'm not able to use UNITY on Ubuntu 11.04
on my first boot after installion, a dialog box said th you hardware does not support unity and blah blah blah.


My computer's configurion is as follows:

Intel motherboard [dunno which version]
GPU: nVidia Gece 8400 512MB
CPU: Intel dual core processor 2.7Ghz

Samsung LCD monitor 18.5 inch

i know th hardware can easily support unity but its not.

Hello, I have a dell studio 1537
I had some bch files on my desktop my students
My sister accidentally clicked on one of them
It creed about 10,000 folders on the desktop and the system hanged up


I booted in safe mode , pressed Ctrl A and deselected my original stuff and deleted all
They went in bin and then i cleared the bin.. Now my system works fine in safe mode.
But when i go in normal mode , i just get the start taskbar and a cursor which shows busy.. After waiting 5 mins it shows not responsing and even the taskbar goes..

W went wrong ??
The bch file clicked had just 3 lines of creing 10,000 folders , ds it
and the folders are now deleted.

Wh i tried:
I have tried loading the explorer.exe in process via Ctrl + Alt + Delete
System Restore is Not working
I dnt have the repair or recovery option

I cant m as i have my student`s da in it a a nional level competition ( i backed it up via safe mode , but i m very very sure , something silly is going on here and lappy is fine

Please tell wh to do

i m using Vista

I just ran a virus scan, Avast, and it did a second "reboot scan" or something like th. After th when I booted my PC, I found th I could't open chrome, soon I realised I can't open any other program be it firefox, itunes, utorrent, garena client, vlc videos, WM Player or any program th mter.

However IE is working some reason. Also I can open jpg files. I am really worried as I don't remember doing a system restore point and also haven't backed up my files to do a clean install again.

During the virus scan, I selected "delete" the files th had detected. I am not sure if was the reason. There were about three such files needing deletion.

I have a 5 year old iPod th I haven't used in past couple. Just bought an iPad, and set up on new computer with new apple Id. My question is th I'd like to copy over my songs from iPod library, but they are under different apple id, so can I use my old id iTunes and my new Id apps? I believe I can't merge the 2 accounts, but can't figure how to get my DRM songs onto my iPad, and do not want to wipe out my apps in the process!

[Tech] Need help with flashing Sapphire Radeon 4850 BIOS

Hello everyone! I would really apprecie, if someone could help me on .
I have an i Radeon 4850 card, with a corrupt bios. The card itself won't boot, but when I use my integred graphics, it shows up in the device manager. Upon checking with aida64, weird symbols show up in the 'bios version' and the 'model type' field. Like :

The biggest problem is, th when I try to flash the bios with i tool, it just freezes. Also freezes when I try to get the adapter number. iwinflash just freezes and restarts the computer. Any suggestions on how could I flash card correctly?

So I have meaning to redownload my custom ringtones to my iPhone quite awhile. I keep running into problem though. Whenever I go to add multiple custom ringtones, the last one I add is the only one available in the ringtone area. Is normal? Am I doing something wrong?

I currently use Audacity to cut and export the songs. Once exported, I change the file extension to the iTunes approprie m (mr3 I think) then drag/drop into the ringtone section of iTunes. Any help with is apprecied! I'd like to assign special songs certain people (girlfriend, mom, dad, etc).

In the game you control a "Flashbike" which leaves a colored wall behind it. The goal is to earn points by causing y enemies to crash either into y bike's wall or their own. To earn maximum points collect as many of the cores as you can consecutively, doing so will earn point multipliers of up to 8x.

Previously jailbroken 3GS with tetherme to enable nive tethering. I had to upde to 4.3.5 on a 3gs and lost my jailbreak. After the upde I restored to the most recent back up and the tethering option is still enabled. I am not complaining, but how is possible?

So basically I was jailbreaking my iphone and I was downgrading from 4.2.10 to 4.2.8 and was using tinyumbrella, I went and did it the right way, started the tss server and everything but I dident have the shsh blob of 4.2.8, so it got stuck in 10xx recovery loop. I tried literally EVERYTHING to fix it, nothing worked, so I clicked "upde baseband" (not knowing wh I was doing) and it took all the phones off of my verizon family plan and my fher had to go and reenable all the phones and took a long time on the phone with verizon. They said th my phone is now "broken" im guessing th my esn is now bad, so I went and checked my MEID on some web and it said it was not ready to active, but they could be wrong but I dont know, but my phoneline is still up but my phone is not like actived on it because it is apparently broken in some way. Basically I would like to know whs actually wrong with my phone and any possible solutions so I can get my iphone working again!

Extra inmion: It is a CDMA 16gb iphone 4 running 4.2.10 I guess NOT jailbroken.

I hope somebody can help me!

I bought samsung galaxy s2 3 months back i was enjoying and loving phone .burt after 1 month while playing few games it was heing up and game was stop running i thought it would be some less charging issue.But some 20 days back i have wifi issue one day i turn it on and after few seconds it was automically switched off.it was happening again and again.it goes scanning but not able to find any wifi ,20 days back it was waorking properly. soling issue i went to samsung service centre in noida sec 63 ,they checked and mted it and upded the new os but in 2 days they couldn't able to solve my wifi problem and they told me there is a motherboard problem which we don't have right now so leave it 10 days or come after 1 oct so th we we install new motherboard on sgs2.Now i have problem in my phone th wifi is continuosly running and scanning but not able to detect any wifi and i cant even stopped it running.:(
ON slider panel it continuosly showing on and i can't switch it off by pressing either from panel or from settings.Consuming lots of btery and now speaker vol is also lowered.Right now i am vey much frustred and i don't know where to go and wh to do? Any help wud be appreciable.:mad:

Hello everyone ,

I am looking ward to buy a scanner , scanning Class Notes and Books [ Lots and LOTS of them ] and making PDF's of them[ Now we use Mobile Camera the purpose :( , not really efficient ]

I want the cheapest , simple scanner available , no extra feures needed , just plain scans PDFs , it can be as large as possible , should preferably be well built rher than being aesthically impressive , and should be available in Kolka. I have absolutely no idea how much one costs :( I've heard starts from 1.5k , is th true or far from true ?

[Tech] Thinkpad E420No Sound from Internal Speakers

Hello,

We just purced ( 7 days back) a Thinkpad E420 series laptop. came without the OS preinstalled. So I installed the OS( Windows 7 ultime) and then through the Lenovo software upder , installed all the drivers.

Now, the problem we are facing is machine refuses to play any sound through the internal speakers. I hear no beeps too when the laptop starts.

However, if I plug in the headphones, I hear the sound only via the headphones. The system recognises when the headphones are plugged and unplugged.

The drivers installed are the Conexant 20672 Smart Audio HD drivers version 8.32.27.00.

The only surprising part is th if I play any music the volume control in the tray when expanded to move the slider shows the green bar moving up and down as it would normally do when the sound is being played only , here there is no sound.

Considering its only seven days old do you all think I should get about the speakers and continue using it or should I give it to service ?

Kindly assist me in resolving .

i am going to buy a media player to play media files from my pc to tv .
which of media players are good my needs.
i don't have a wifi modem or router only the adsl modem now. wd tv live hub is out of my budget .i also have the need of extra storage space whether in m of internal hard disk ,external hard disk or others [want to move files from pc to recover some space,pc hd is getting ].

does WD Elements Play 1 TB is good my needs? or should i get a separe media player+external HD ? also can i use external 3.5 hd as internal drive ler on ?

i want to buy am3 motherboard Amd phenomII X4 955BE previously i had Asus M4A78TE which is not booting properly in return i get 5k :cry::cry::cry: n led monitor 22"+ l HD, in case of monitor earlier i had bought a new Benq V2220H which get a problem of no display in 2 weeks in return i get 13.5k from Benq SC

I have my car paired with my S2 Bluetooth. The other day I connected the speaker out on the S2 to the audioin on the car stereo. I received a call while listening to an audio book on the phone. The car muted the audio in and answered the call. I could not hear the person calling. I think the phone was trying to send the sound out the speaker rher than the Bluetooth. When I don't have the phone speaker connected, Bluetooth works correctly. Is a known problem? Is there a way to fix it, maybe a setting I'm missing?

Dear friends,
I recently upgraded my Graphic card to a MSI 560 Ti Hawk. As i read in various reviews th card runs much cooler than other 560s. But when i try to run the The Witcher 2 , the temperure reaches as high as 92 on auto fan settings in MSI afterburner.

first I thought th might be a bad airflow in my cabinet. So i removed both the side panels , but temperure dropped only 34 degrees. I tried with 90% fan speed, but still the temperure is in higher 80s.

The rest of my configurion is as below:
intel C2Q 8200
Gigabyte p45 ud3l
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Corsair TX650
Seage 2 TB + Seage 1 TB + Seage 500 GB
Zebronics Antibiotics cabinet

I recently purced the ASUS 990Fx to get ready Bulldozer, and low and behold I cannot POST. I get a red light my CPU , but not my RAM. I've tried everything from testing each ram stick, plugging in and out my 8pin molex connection, I've unconnected my peripherals (hard drives, bluray player) and still no luck...any suggestions on how I can get past POST?

Hi, I just built my first rig a few months back, and have overclocking a little bit.
I managed to get to 4.25, but I had to raise to voltage to 1.600 to keep it stable. Is th all normal? I just wanted to know if it was too high, and if it could hurt the CPU to leave it there, even with average temps well under 30c.

My cooler is a Noctua NHD14, and under Prime95 it not broken 40c, it idles 22c

My 5770 th I just put in is throttling down while I'm gaming. It will usually do it only 12 seconds a time, a couple times per minute. It causes noticeable FPS dips. I'm using the lest CCC drivers.

So I just finished a new build and installed speedfan to regule the fans and I see th it is reading my cpu as 128 C so I flipped out and turned it off immediely and got back on my laptop, is some constant problem with speedfan? I have seen stories about it reading th parts th don't exist?

Heres wh I got. I have a 500 wt power supply th wont power up two different towers.
The towers are pretty basic ones a P4 with AGP video card one hard drive, the other is a basic board with on board video and one hard drive, each have a DVD burner and ths about it. Nothing special or power demanding.
I have a digital tester and everything test good. 20 pin, 24 pin, 4 pin power, all sas, all molexes.
You turn either computer on fans spin but nothing comes up on screen. I connect my 650 wt supply in and both towers fire up.

How would you test under load it to be failing there but I dont know how to test.

I had posted already but realized it was in the wrong spot.

Im wondering if anyone can help me out. I just bought one of those mhl cables (not the official samsung one) and am having an issue with it. Whenever I plug it in, it seems to cut off any network access. Within seconds I see my signal bar drop and eventually get no service. My wifi indicor still shows connected however I can't browse or connect to anything online (apps, youtube etc). The rest of the feures work fine, I can view everything on my tv, sound works etc....Its very odd. I can see it trying to connect to a webpage example, not going anywhere...the moment I unplug the cable, the web loads and I can see th service is restored to the phone.

Can anyone help me out?

[Tech] Laptop cannot use AC adaptor anymore

Hey people, I've got a problem which i wanted to share with you guys.

Today, my girlfriends was just playing some fallout new vegas on her laptop, when suddenly the screen darkened. The laptop had switched to the btery power, even though the AC adaptor was still plugged in.

We replugged the adaptor and after th the problem seemed to be over.
A couple of minutes after th however, the laptop would do the same thing again, and again after we replugged the AC adaptor. It would do the same, with, or without the btery plugged in, so I ruled out the btery as a cause aswell.

I started suspecting a failing AC adaptor, since the laptop was still running on the btery when the power cut out. The adaptor wasnt fault however; I double checked it with another identical adaptor: same story. I also checked the adaptor she was using in another laptop. Worked fine.

Then i spent half the evening dissasembling it until i had just the laptop mobo in my hands, suspecting some of the onboard hardware had blown or least looked damaged. No luck however! I couldnt find anything physically wrong with the board, or cables, or connectors.


So here I am now, a loss of wh might be wrong with laptop. Everything seems to be working fine, but the power feed just cuts out after a short peroid of being turned on. If the btery is plugged in it'll keep on going some time, but obviously is not optimal.

The only thing fault i can think of is the motherboard itself, sooo, I wondered if any of you guys had any experience with kind of thing and/or had any idea wh may be wrong with it?

i was assembling one of my rigs the other day and went to turn on the power and the rig would not boot :twitch: so i unhooked the psu from the mainboard and noticed th one of the 24 pin connectors was actually missing the metal socket piece th fits inside it. low and behold, i believe when i pulled th psu from another mainboard it stuck to th one causing problems with it too :mad: so i am a moron two reasons now. is there an easy way to replace the metal socket thingy th fits into the mainboard power connector?

Hello,

I tried to flash my GPU with I Winflash, but it got stuck and I didn't see anything around it anymore, but I was like very sleepy, so I went to sleep and then when I woke up and looked it again it was still stuck on th point. So I rebooted the PC :banghead:

Then, I didn't see anything on the screen anymore and heard beeps, then it reboots again and I could login to Windows blind and I have _now_ managed to access the computer via TeamViewer and I want to reflash the GPU of cse, but the resolution is on 640x480 now and the I Winflash program requires least 800x600.

I can not change the resolution all, it's stuck on 640x480, please help :respect:

I am not sure if anyone else on here one of these card but the main reason I purced from the other models is because of its ease of use and accessories it comes with. I got deus ex and Dirt 3, dvi adapter, vga adaptor, hdmi cable, display port adapter and a really nice looking card.

I did not expect any overclocking from card as the reviews I read did not report much as far as overclocking gains, however th is not why I bought .

When I put my computer back together(cleaned it out) I put the bios switch to the number 2 position(first time I booted it up.
Since I had a new hard drive I reinstalled win7 64 bit. Loaded up Sapphire Trixxx and gpuz.
To my amazement it auto unlocked to the 6970 shaders. I didn't even try to lol. On top of th it overclocked like a champ. I don't need to overclock so I tried it out kicks.

ive up to 920mhz core clock and 5.3 ghz on the memory. I only bumped up the voltage a little(just in case).

I use all the time 850mhz core and normal memory settings as I am saving overclocking card and pushing it only when I need to.
