I have experiencing with a few custom ROMs, but the end of the day (because most ROMs interfered with Kies) I restored the original Samsung ROM and simply installed a rooted kernel. Which leads me to my dilemma.

TWLauncher a wonderful Agenda widget which integres all my calendar appointments into one simple, clean, onemonthscrollable view. I have tried a few other agenda widgets and prefer one. However, TWLauncher is not themable.

Having downloaded LauncherPro and ADW.Launcher (which are themable), I find th if I use them I no longer have access to the Agenda widget. As in "it doesn't appear on the available widget list".

So I seem to be in a cch22 situion: I can either have themes or the Samsung Agenda widget. :(

Anyone knows how to either get themes in TWLauncher or the Samsung Agenda widget in LancherPro/ADW.Launcher?

I'm after a decent alarm clock app the N8 if anyone knows of one? Google doesn't seem to come up with anything neither does Ovi Store (as far as I can see). The main reason request is th the stock alarm clock only options weekday or weekend and I need something with more control.

Specifically I'm after an app th can set an alarm to be a different time on different days. Eg 7am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and 8am on Mondays and Fridays.

Any ideas?

I've using a SB live! 24 Bit sound card since 2006it working fine the last few years and i seldom faced any problems with it.However,a problem cropped up a couple of months earliermy computer would not detect sound card no apparent reason.The only way to fix was to remove the card from the pci slot and reinsert it back again. problem occurred several times and each time i had to follow procedure to get it working.Also i noticed th sometimes while playing audio or video files,strange popping and crackling sounds could be heard which were accompanied by an unusual hissing noise occasionallyth seemed very odd to me as those noises weren't heard earlier.I could not resolve issue even by installing the lest drivers the card.


Something unexpected happened last monthmy PC stopped detecting card completely.Even after following the aementioned procedure,i could not manage to get it working.I even installed the card in a different pci slot but my pc would still not detect it.


So i concluded th the sound card was malfunctioning and decided to replace it.A few weeks ler,i bought a SB Audigy value card and installed it in my pcit was detected without a hitch.Strangely however,i still heard those popping and crackling noises occasionally while playing audio and video files.I thought problem would go away after changing the sound card but quite inexplicably,it didn't.

Just like it happened earlier,my pc stopped detecting new card now.I don't understand why it could be happening and so i am really scared and worried.I have followed the procedure i mentioned earlier but it is still not being detected :( card is barely a few weeks old and so its very unusual it to start malfunctioning so soon.Is something wrong with my motherboard?Is it somehow damaging the sound cards?

As the card is still under warranty,I intend to RMA it.However,its quite possible th if i install another sound card,it will also begin malfunctioning soon.Wh can i do to resolve issue?I'm very worriedplease help!! :(

Ok i want to extend the wireless signal to another part of a building.

Modem to Router A.

Router A
Default Geway 192.168.0.1

I hook up an Ethernet cord into the lan port on Router B.

Router B
Default Geway 192.168.0.2
DHCP Disabled

The problem is sometimes I cant see router B even when im right next to it.

Would it be possible to get it done weekend. The hard drive made an annoying, dying buzzing sound (not clicking), I don't know if it's dead or a bad connection, I haven't checked, but I assume dead now. Are there any large branches I should check ? I would only go to Best Buy as a last option, but I really don't want to find the hard drive model, wait a week a new one, then have to install it myself. Are there any other stores or options?

I really suffer from slowness and my pagefile get filled with up to 14gb, and all the time my HDD is loading

I have 2 options:
get a 32GB ssd and just use it as dediced pagefile, and keep using HDD OS.
get more 12GB ram, but I'm afraid it will not be stable on my current system and maybe I will still suffer from pagefile too. Also the 32GB SSD is cheaper.

I prefer the SSD idea, any one tried if bee? will it solve my pagefile hdd loading all the time?

Does anyone know of a third party inear headphone th includes the Apple style controller and mic? I know there are many with the mic, but I can't tell if they can also pause, skip, etc.

OR: is it possible to get inear style tips to use with the earbuds th come with the iP4? I'd be happy to stick with them if I can get them to stay in my ears.

i wanted to upgrade my dell lap graphic chipset. My laptop is dell inspiron 15R N5010 model which comes with intel HD chipset which gives only 69mb of v memory. I dont know whether i can upgrade my laptops graphic card or not..! If it can be upgraded then i need best graphic card but budget is till 4,000/INR. ok guys i'm not going with the i7 990x just yet, as some of you may have read th i was going to get
( some reasons far to expensive plus they have bumped the price up 70 bucks :slap: and i have my eyes on the 2011 cpu as a future buy :D )

so i need some advice on wh hesink to buy my current rig

my machine:
well it's a i7 920 :rolleyes:
3gb corsair dominor xmp 1600mhz
gigabyte 5870 graphics card
ax 850 wt psu

so why don't i use the cooler th came with the i7 920?

well i'm pretty sure th i bent the motherboard the last time i put the thing on, and th's why i had problems with the psu making pop noises,
so i might take the fan off and bin the stock cooler


my preferences ?

well i don't intend to overclock much, so i don't need wercooling so th 's not a suggestion i need, ;)

as my name suggests i love emulors, so i need to tickle a bit more speed out of my cpu maybe taking it up to 3 ghz

noise :
well i like my pc quiet so it need to be a fairly silent cooler

ease fitting it: hm tachment 43700 well i need it to be reasonably easy to fit (in other words something i don't need a phd in science :laugh:)

please give reasons why you think y suggestion would be the easiest to fit, wh weight it is and so on

I go to the app store to upde an app or download one and click install, takes me to the home screen and the app icon says "waiting" and then disappears!

I can download on my iPad...I have rebooted the phone and have the same issue...

Originally it was September release with said week delay from the PS3 ( believed to be SONY ) version which made the due de of the PC version today ( 23rd September ).

<div>I was invited to a "public unveiling" of Sharp's new Elite TV a local A/V store last night, and I thought I would share my initial impressions with the community.

starters there should be some background on the TV:
  • It is being manufactured by Sharp who hired on a lot of Pioneer's engineers after the Elite line was discontinued 23 years ago
  • It comes in 2 sizes of 70" ($8,000) and 60" ($5,500)
  • It added a yellow subpixel in addition to the standard RGB sub pixels to give more accure color representions
  • It is claimed by Sharp th its processor allows it to go beyond a 240hz refresh re
  • It is 3d capable
  • It is a LED array backlight divided out to over 100 subgrids better levels of backlight leveling

They had fool's gold showing on it when I saw the demo and the biggest thing Jamieson's staff was trying to show is th the black levels on unit can rival th of most plasmas. So I'll have to base my initial impressions off of th movie and the small 5 minute tech demo blu ray they showed.

So starters, the black levels were good. The salesman said it was better than plasmas, which I find hard to believe since plasmas have no backlight theree they can get true black, but it was a very good black with almost zero light bleeding from around the edges. The whites were equally as impressive with no blue hue to them th you run into in the

I have a few apps th iTunes isn't recognizing as I am trying them out but when I try to sync iTunes it wants to erase them. How can I bypass ? If I choose to not sync my apps it wants to remove all my apps. Ideas?

I'm looking to ditch my old broken screen gps I use hunting. I found an app I really like the motion x. Let's you save maps offline also but here lies the problem. The iPhone GPS will NOT work when in airplane mode. (like the droid can) I'm looking to use in the woods where I get low signals sometimes and do not want to kill my btery searching a signal. Does anyone know of an app th would jut turn off the network cell signal without being in airplane mode? The &T phone is easy because u could jut pull the sim card.

I am using Panasonic FZ18 + TCON17 teleconverter with PA62E Adapter.
I also have a Raynox DCR250 close up lens which I want to combine with TCON17.

In wh order should I stack these lenses on my camera ?
TCON17 first or the DCR250 first ?

Do I need any other stepup, stepdown rings to stack these lenses ?

I have the below configurion in my mind and few queries too.. Hoping th u guyz will sort it out...

Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 (3G, 16Gb) got my eyes glued the other day
but 33999/ from croma and reliance
same price but with Sling bag + Car Charger from flipkart. its pricy :punch:

I already got a good rig with 24incher monitor, 5.1, good gfx card, 1tb hdd, 8 gig ram etc home. no lappy required there

Nokia 5800 is fulfilling my smartphone needs nicely :wink:

So a tab can be justified
I'll be taking it to office light work or web browsing, light gaming may be reading or wching vids. and other quick needs home.

My questions:

1. Someone saw a better deal anywhere in india or net shipped to india?
2. Will waiting till Diwali is recommended? as it already dropped 3k since launch,
th's 1 month away :hissyfit:
3. Ipad wifi only 16Gig is available in 29000/ Ipad :fencing: Samsung tab?

Hi Below is a screenshot of Open Hardware Monitor of my PC Temperures.
I am having Zebronics Bijli Cabinet having 1 Front LED Fan(Intake), 1 fan the back(Exhaust), 2 fans on side panel (Top is Intake, Other is exhaust), I also have Sapphire Radeon HD 6750 1GB GFX Card, also stock AMD CPU Cooler. I use Cooler master HTK002 thermal compound and change it every 34 Months.
Please see the temperures below and tell me if they are normal. I have used open hardware monitor taken screenshot after using the PC 2 hs of browsing, DVD burning, Played DIRT3 20 mins, Also converted some videos etc..

I mean, I' would think th the leader in wireless communicions would come up with a better messenger plm than . It doesn't hold a candle to BBM, LiveProfile, WhsApp or other true messenger apps. It's simply a "tweak" to text messages to show delivery & typing.

I would like to see iMessage as a standalone, preinstalled app on all iDevices. Much like BBM is to Blackberry. Profile Pictures, contacts, available/away stuses, groups... It just seems to me th iMessage a LONG way to go bee it can even compare to any other messenger plm. Just my thoughts.... :cool:

My work is considering iPhones instead of Blackberry (about time!) and I would just like to clarify somethings.

iDevices are tied to an iTunes account, correct? So, if I want to set up an iPhone Joe Smith, I must configure it using Joe's iTunes account. If I tried setting it up under my account and then Joe connected it to his computer to sync, then it would erase the iPhone, correct?

Joe could use iTunes on more than one computer (home, work, laptop, etc...) as long as he authorizes each install of iTunes, correct?

I'm having a strange problem with my 3GS. It started when I was on vacion the end of August. My phone shut down, off, and I had to power it back up several times bee it would stay on. Then it was fine a week or so.

I work on a university campus th a wifi network th covers all the university buildings on campus. It is fairly strong; you can connect to it from quite a distance away when walking outside or even driving. I actually work in a hospital th is loced on campus, th its own separe public wifi network.

So several weeks ago I noticed th when I would walk out of the building my phone would shut off. began happening almost every time I left work. Then my phone started shutting off as I would be walking toward my building. (Typically I'd be walking in from the parking ramp, reading FaceBook or email or whever on 3G).

First I upded to the newest IOS version. did not solve my problem. Then I began to wonder if the shutdown had anything to do with interfacing with the university wifi. So I started turning wifi off bee I came in range of th network. keeps my phone from shutting off about 50% of the time. The only thing th will keep the phone from shutting down when entering or leaving the wifi zone is turning off wifi and putting the phone to sleep by pushing the power button not a complete shut off, just sleeping.

I'm trying to make it until the iPhone 5 is announced and I decide to wait the 5 or buy a new 4, but is getting really old. example, morning, I parked in the ramp. Wifi had shut off since leaving my house. I started walking in, but when I got close to the first university building I had to pass, the phone shut off completely. So I power it back on, th takes a minute, as soon as I slide the unlock slider it shuts down again. cycle repes itself until I have walked through the entrance to my building, across the border from the university wifi to the hospital wifi (it's a separe but connected building). Only then will my phone start up and stay on, be put into Airplane mode (because I'm underground and can't get cell) and then I turn on wifi and it connects to the hospital network and everything is fine. Until I walk out the other side of the building, through a university zone, to get to a restaurant th university wifi...

Any ideas, or do I just have to put up with it until I change phones? is a new problem, beginning in August of year, and I have working in the same place with the same phone with no problems the previous ~two years, upding the IOS frequently. Thank you.

i have an iphone 3gs, I put my tmobile sim in the phone and synced it up with itunes and it worked, my sister however put her tmobile sim in and tried to connect to itunes and it wouldnt work, any ideas? the message i get is the phone is locked please enter passcode, but it wont let me enter the code on my iphone it just says emergency calls, however when i put my sim back in it worked fine, please help :)

also the phone is jailbroken, is it worth doing a master reset of the phone, installing the lastest software upde and then getting an unlock the official way?

does anyone here play F1 2011 on PC without any problems cos i dont understand how they could put game out with so many bugs.
the game crashes in dx11 mode so you have to play it in dx9.
i have only software option sound.
i have a thrustmaster ferrari f430 wheel and the throttle is far to sensitive and my friend the logitech g25 and he cant even play the game cos the steering wheel wont work, he starts the game with no ffb and the engine is reving its nuts off on the starting grid then the race starts and he cant move.
a quick look on other ums and so many people bitching about all the problems they are having with the logitech g27 wheel too.
so i ask you how did they get game to work with the g27 and in dx11 mode throughout all the testing bee they sold us piece of SxxT ?

My first reservoir with moving parts. I went with the Shishi Odoshi (Deer Cer) idea. A few weeks back I built one from copper Wife as an outdoor fountain. A tube on a pivot is filled, then dumps out. When the tube strikes the basin or something else during its rhythmic tipping action it makes a loud percussive sound to "Ce Deer" and keep them from eing the garden or whever.

I adapted th tipping tube idea and transled it into acrylic...in a box... PC liquid cooling.

clientcommissioned res will live inside a Mountain Mods case and was built to dimensions specified. 15" tall, 9" wide, 6" deep. 4 Ports: Fill, Drain, Inlet, Outlet.

Wer ponds on a horizontal top shelf and seeps between an irregular polished lip and a vertical divider: is the main werfall, a curtain th comes down about 3/4" back from the front window panel interior. Behind the main fall wer will stream from two different sized holes to fill the tipping tubes below. These in turn will fill two small different sized basins th will in turn make their own werfalls behind the main fall. A complex wer feure with moving parts.

I made a base to secure the reservoir. The base a 3/4" gap so CCL lighting can be easily set under the entire unit. There is room a pair of each color of tube allowing maximum versility and ease when choosing a lighting theme...why choose? :p Just put them all under there and turn on whever color or combinion of colors you want.

I'll be testing the unit over the weekend.

Onboard video memory th Windows 7 shows is 1660 MB




But when I start playing GTA IV, in its settings, its only showing 247 MB..!!

I KNOW its just a Onboard. I cannot play smoothly.
But I donno why its only showing 247 MB?

I was thinking of hlon II X4 635 and overclocking it to 3.2 Ghz on stock cooler after reading few threads on digit um.

i just heard it several day ago, a radio th invented by Nikola Tesla th can cch any electromagnetic fields or light sces in real time.

Hello everyone.

Have a look my home network :


It currently consists of:
A desktop connected by wire to router
A Laptop connected wirelessly to router.

Now I need to buy a LED smart TV (32 inch strictly), any brand, budget max 50 K.

is wh I plan to have and plan to do:
1. is obvious th LED should support HD (1080p)
2. It should be smart TV, my requirement are th it should be able to play audio/video from the network. Even if it couldn't have internet apps (like panasonic/ samsung ) it would be fine. I can access th via CPU connected to LED, which I have described next.
3. I am also planning to connect the CPU directly to the LED , so as to save space home and enjoy PC on big screen (movies/ game etc)
4. I also heard th TV can access network wirelessly. Is th possible th network can be accessed wirelessly? If yes, I also heard th a wireless dongle to be purced same. Again, if yes, whs the price of same?
5. Also as mentioned above regarding PC connection, the TV should have VGA port, HDMI port, ample no of USB ports
6. As seen in diagram, I also have a 5.1 setup. Though I can connect it to the CPU which 5.1 sound card, can the same speakers be connected to LED? Do they support 5.1 setup?

Whoaa..ths a lot of requirement.. Kindly help me in selecting one nice LED same.

i have pentium dual core E5300, 2X2 GB DDR2 RAM, GT240 1GB , ASUS P5KPLAM/PS and local 450W PSU.
i am planning to upgrade and i need some suggestions. i am using my pocket money so i am on a tight budget and upgrade will take over 35 months :shock:
i have planned to buy one 4GB Gskill ripjaws single stick as RAM as prices are really good these days

[Tech] CF Sapphire Toxic 6950 with unlocked bios on both artifacting

I recently just purced 2x Sapphire Toxic 6950 2GB video cards. I installed them today, installed most up to de BIOS on my motherboard, Installed most up to de Drivers + Profiles pch, Installed Sapphire Trixx (I don't think i like tool much but more on th ler), and went to look GPUZ and they're showing 1408. So i shut down my computer, flip the switch on both cards, and low and behold boot up with GPUZ showing 1536 shaders on both! *Happy Day!*

My problem however is th after switching bios's back and th and running multiple tests of Furmark & 3D Mark Vantage I get massive amounts of artifacts on the unlocked shaders bios, and none on the 1408.

I have enabled the 20% boost in AMD Overdrive and th's the only change i've made there.

As Sapphire Trixx I up'ed the #'s to 925/1425/1.2V on both with a Custom fan setting to keep the cards around 60c.

Is there anything else i can do to try and get the shaders to work properly me???

Any help would be apprecied.

I've having major problems with my old gen routers and my current high speed connection. My wrt54gl router flashed with ddwrt will get me 25mb/s dl speeds, but a very high lency cost. I keep getting kicked out of game servers because of it. The wrt54gl is oced to 250mhz as well. I have an older linksys, it gets me 7mb/s dl speeds, but game servers are stable. I also connect 2 folding servers to router. When I connect direct to the modem, I get 25mb/s+ and am stable in all servers. Do I need a faster router? Something with a 450mhz cpu ect? Because is really getting to be a problem.

Okay, so we all are pretty much sure a new iPhone is coming next month. Although we have not heard any details, based on the past, are you able to pre order the iPhone solely with an Apple Gift Card? I've reading various webs and some say some kind of a credit card is required identificion purposes. The problem is, I don't have a credit card, I have a debt card. It's a Visa, and since most of the time you can get away with using a debt card as a credit card you would think you could use th. However, I read a few post about people who tried to pre order the iPhone 4 with their Visa debt card and it didn't go through. So, to avoid any problems, I jumped the gun and bought an Apple gift card with all the money I have saved up the new iPhone. However, a game th looks a lot like an FPS, yet doesn't allow the player to actually fire any bullets is a hard sell to publishing executives and terribly frustring anyone who mistakenly buys expecting to fire guns baddies. leads on to the obvious question of who is the target market product? It doesn't seem clear. The game in development f months now and the developer is currently in talks with several publishers. So, can a unique game like succeed in the highly competitive world of video gaming?

As in title, Apple must be loving all rumor and speculion! free publicity! I one think its gre, i check least twice a day the lest rumors, will be an anticlimax when its all over

I purced a new GTX 465 Gold Edition and it does flash to a GTX470 no problem ,but here is the issue, the bios a stock gtx 470 too low of a default voltage my gtx 465, however, the modded bios I used works fine but It too high of clocks and voltage and need to be adjusted from 700/ 1400 / 922 1.063 voltage to say 650/1300/850 voltage 1.000v. I can adjust it with afterburner but would like to have the bios modded. The problem is I have never modded a Nvidia bios and am looking someone who can help out. I have tried several stock 470 gtx bios and only one works with my card the rest cause red pixelion. I used bios in mod thread and It works but seems to overhe my card in occt after a while. I can of cse manually down clock it with after burner with zero issues. http://www.overclock.net/10303918post1344.html

But I wonder, is it good? It seems better than the one I currently own.
It's second hand (never used, everything is still there) + graphics card "Sapphire Radeon HD 6770". Don't know if th is good aswell.
I can get them together around 60$.
Should I get the motherboard??
