Remember LG won th screen award there IPS 720p screen prototype. (It was posted on GSMArena sometime back)

Well it seems the phone th will use it is LG's next up and coming beast. The LG, lu6200 :eek: Just imagine a 720p screen on a mobile. Its also packing a 1.5 Ghz CPU and a nice Adreno 220 GPU.

It looks a winner, but with LG's lack luster support unless it gets a modding community like SGS2 ,its going to flop. Despite the nice specs.

So, I upgraded to an iPhone 4 today and the guy unlocked it and jailbroke it me. The problem is, I installed Winterboard and it locked my phone with the Apple logo showing. I know I can restore it through iTunes but how to I go about unlocking it again? He had Cydia installed...

Or is there another way around ?

I jailbroke my iPod touch 4G yesterday using Redsn0w but I must of done it wrong because right after the iPod rebooted and I tried syncing it to iTunes, message came up:
"iTunes detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore iPod bee it can be used with iTunes".

prevented me from getting to the home screen. (I'm currently on the start screen the one with the USB cable pointing to the iTunes logo).

I also tried to restore the iPod but the program I used to jailbreak it prevented me from doing so.

Should I be in the DPU mode? If so, how would I be able to do th?

In the same way th BiteSMS lets you quick reply to text messages anywhere on the iPhone, is there an app th'll allow you to quick reply to mentions on twitter? ... I have Boxcar which gives me the notificion, I also have qTweeter to quick compose ... but if someone mentions me, and I get the Boxcar notificion, I still have to open the app and wait it to load, and then reply from there. Which isn't horrible but it gets annoying after the 4th or 5th reply in a row. Anyone know of anything? Thanks in advance.

1.Can i install Windows Xp along with Mac OS, as sometimes may require Windows applicions to run, Also will there be any driver issue

2.Where to get it a cheaper cost? Mumbai Grey Market or USA /UK/Aus....

3.Btery backup and also whether they will replace the btery under warranty if im not getting the backup after using some days...

Well lads.

Myself and my brother are after buying a pair of these each and we both installed it on computers, which are identical in every way!
His Logitech software pops right up and he can use all the wireless feures... but when it comes to me!! oh noo! of cse not! it does not pop up, I cannot use any of the buttons on the headset :O
Seriously??!?!?!?!?!

ANyway!
Would anyone have any ideas as to why it won't work?
I tried multiple reinstallions and nothing changes!

I need to know how, (have a .flv 1080p video) I mean with which software's? I've done googing and found plenty names, only Audacity I've used bee. But I need one simple tool and the Audio must remain of high quality. Heard it's also possible in WMP but couldn't find an option.

I've reading the um since many months but haven't participed in any of the discussions here although i'm active in other tech. ums and groups.

Now my point. I've wanting to have a laptop since 7 months and i'm finally buying it on 23rd September (my b'day :P). I've looking a lot of laptop reviews on the internet through youtube vidz, top 10 lists etc. Initially i zeroed in on the hp dm4x but it isn't available in india yet.

But now i finally have found the one which sisfies all my needs.
The new HP PAVLION DV43016 TX.
Specs 1GB DDR5 AMD RADEON 6750 Graphics, 4 GB DDR3 (1333) which i would upgrade manually to 8GB, 500GB HDD (5400 RPM :?), altec lansing+dolby sound, hp coolsense, 14inch HD LED screen etc a price of 42000 Rs.:P

Now it sisfies my budget (and i'm paying partial money from my adsense income), i just wanted to thank you guys influencing my decision . I really like the thinkdigit um mosphere and would continue participing hereon.

I would like very much a review of the HP Pavilion dv43016tx if anybody bought it. Friends, do tell me if i made a correct decision. (Also do tell me the prices if anyone here lives in kolka and whether it would be possible to upgrade it to home premium free). Bye.:razz:

i get :

i've also upded my motherboard bios to the lest version, upded directx to the lest.


is actually a driver incompability issue ? lot ot ppl with hd 5xxx and hd 6xxx series cards seem to have issues with amd drivers.

it usually happens with graphically intensive games when gpu is really loaded .

from afterburner i've seen my gpu temp is around 40 c in idle . and max it gone is around 51 c .

my gpu is factory oc'd . i've never meddled with it .

any other msi 6850 oc edition user here ? have u faced problem ? is there any work around guys ?

Hello all,

the longest time, I was running TPU's Calyst mobility 11.4 package on my laptop (in sys. specs). I recently found some newer, regularly released mobility packages on Guru3D by one of the contributors there, so I decided to try upgrading. However, it seems th Calyst 11.6 or higher experiences display driver crashes either instantly or within the first few minutes of loading a level. I express uninstalled all I software through Programs and Feures, rebooted, installed a different Calyst suite, and rebooted again each time I tried a different driver. With the "broken" drivers, every other game seems to work fine, but Minecraft causes the screen to go blank briefly, the Minecraft window to go black or white indefinitely, and a balloon to appear sting "Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and successy recovered."

Basically, my laptop a PowerXPress setup using an HD 4250 IGP and the lowest speed bin (450 MHz) of Mobility Radeon HD 5650. All drivers work fine with no crashing on the IGP, but Minecraft crashes on the HD 5650 with Calyst 11.6 or greer.

Anyone else having problems like with Minecraft/Java and AMD/I cards? My 64bit Java is up to de AFAIK, I increased the Java memory size to no avail, and underclocking the card no effect on the problem, just the driver version.

I'm looking a KVM switch with the following feures:

DVI ports. All I've seen so far are VGA.
Both USB and PS/2 ports mouse and kb. I've seen KVM with either PS/2 OR USB but not both.
Cheap, as in $50 cheap but if it can't be helped I could spend more.

I don't need mouse/kb emulion, fancy controls or hotswapping.

Does exists? Looking through newegg right now but if someone knows please chime in. :)

[Mob] Proximity Sensor Won't Work w/ OtterBox

I've used about three different Otterbox Defender cases over the cse of my iPhone 4, and have never had any problems. However, I recently purced a white on white Otterbox Defender case and seems to be the only Defender th given me problems with the proximity sensor. When I'm on a call, it does not dim the screen. I don't know if it anything to do specifically with the plastic part of the defender being white, versus all my other defender cases th are black on the plastic part. I don't know. Anyone else run into problem by chance?

Hi,

I'm new to um, hope someone can help!

I have just purced a server which a Rocketraid 2300 controller (Raid 1/0, 1TB mirrored)

I have installed Windows server 2003 & installed the Rocketraid drivers, also the webgui but the drive is not showing in My Computer?

The Rocketraid BIOS is installed correctly as all 4 500GB disks are recognised, 2 x HPT374 UDMA/A133 are showing in Device Manager

Webgui events are showing:

2011/9/15 16:20:31 Failed to start https daemon because of socket error.
2011/9/15 17:33:37 Failed to initialize SAFTE enclosure.

John Stankey, the president of &T's business solutions unit, said in le May th field trials of &T's LTE network on its 700 MHz spectrum show th it is delivering realworld speeds "consistent with those th have given by the top competitors." Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ) said its LTE network delivers realworld downlink speeds of 512 Mbps and uplink speeds of 25 Mbps.

Verizon, which first launched LTE service in December 2010, said its LTE network now covers more than 160 million POPs, which is more than half of the U.S. populion. The network is available in 143 markets, and Verizon expects to cover 175 markets and 185 million POPs with LTE by yearend.

During the appearance today, Stephens also touched on some other hotbutton &T topics. Stephens said th 45 percent of &T's total smartphone customer base, or 15 million customers, are on usagebased smartphone da plans. He also said onethird of them, or about 5 million, are on the $15 200 MB plan, and twothirds, or 10 million, use the $25 2 GB plan. The pricing structure continues to drive feure phone customers to smartphones, he said, but is also leading to increased postpaid average revenue per user.

Additionally, Stephens said &T remains confident th its proposed $39 billion acquisition of TMobile USA will be approved by regulors, despite a lawsuit from the Department of Justice seeking to block the deal. He said while &T is fighting the lawsuit in ct, it remains open to negotiing a settlement of some kind with the Justice Department.

ok so im new to um as i was using Gamespotasia bee.
so my problem is i am using an "ASUS m2n68 am plus" mobo and an hlon x2 245 2.9GHz OC'd to 3.41GHz.im using the cooler master hyper tx3 as my cpu cooler.but im unable to go more than 3.41GHz.my idle temps are 28c and load temps are 44c.Why am i not able to go further?is my mobo limiting me.i tried 3.47GHz and my temps are all fine but the system becomes unstable.
im also planning to do a small upgrade Rs6.5k.
please help me and also give me suggestions an AMD cpu and mobo which might fit into my budget.

I am trying to find a method where in I can use only specific pendrive/storage devices on my office pcs. While doing so, the account to be an administror account as well because those specific pendrive/storage devices have to be mted routinely. As a limited or standard user people wont be able to do th. Second issue is; I want to keep a log of the timings which the users log on and log off.

1. Switched on the wifi using fn+f2 key
2. Creed an adhoc network
3. But my phone doesn't show any available and if i add manually it says not in range.

im doing some research on getting an extra vertex 3 120gb ssd and putting them in raid. i currently have an asus sabertooth p67 with marvel and i was thinking of raiding them together on the marvel device, and putting my hdd 6gb on the p67 sa III and then putting my ocz vertex 2 ssd in the sa II slots on my motherboard. also is it possible to have two ssds in raid, while having an extra 80 gb ssd not in raid and a 600 gb hdd not in raid in ur os operiong, i heard you would have to remove y hdd and spare ssd i have if you do put them in raid. also wh are the directions setup two ssds in raid on motherboard. sorry all the questions but it would be nice to have some answers, and clarify a few concerns i have.

I was recently in Turkey and bee getting there i switched my da roaming to disable and also unchecked use packet da so i wouldn't incur high charges. There was a restaurant th i used quite regularly and they gave us their code to use their wifi. My friend who a blackberry had no problems connecting but my SGS just searched and searched. I never did manage to connect the whole time i was there. Can anyone tell me if i did something wrong by switching the packet da off as well or if there was something else i should have done. As my aunt a villa there i will be going again so just want to know my next holiday.

First of Guys here are my Computer specs

Installion

I have installed Windows 8 in a virtual machine. First I tried Vmware but untunely windows 8 does not wok in vmware.



I read some where, it runs in Oracle Virtual box(I am not familiar with). So I installed it and it was successful in Running windows 8.

Here are the specs of my Virtual Machine:

Windows 8 64bit, With 2 cores and 1.5 GB Ram, and 10 GB HD

As I have installed in virtual machine then Boot time and processing time can not be accure or accepted.

Installion of windows 8 was similar to Windows 7. Bee Going to desktop in initial info it asks windows live ID to sync setting in all computers but It also gives option creing local user.

Time & space

It is virtual machine but still installion took around 2025 mins. Including time I took screen shots and named them. so it is around 20 mins.

After Installion around 900MB was free from My 10 Gb virtual HardDisk

I don't think @ current stage all Drivers are included as It did not detected my graphic card or Monitor, th is the reason all screen shots are in 4:3, installion shots are in 800x600. after logging in I changed to 1024x768.



Ribbon

all talked about ribbon in explorer here it is. Ribbon can can be minimized and expanded as per use. So it won't use the screen space until you need it. I didn't find any new options in Ribbon all options in it are th we(advanced users) are using it from years(thru shortcuts). now just those shortcuts have given UI. Also some Context menu Item have added.



Task manager is Improved and I liked it. their is 2 modes, one with fewer details and one with advanced




Metro UI

I miss old start menu. Still searching "UI" to "shut down". shortcut "alt+f4" works so using it now. their are 2 types of apps. metro ui and desktop.

In metro ui their is no way to exit apps. to exit apps just leave it and go to start screen by pressing "win" Key and then after a minute it will be closed automically. If their is any music playing in th app then u need to shift to dekstop and then it will stop playing and then after a minute app will exit itself.

so to get option in metro ui apps u need to "right click" and then u will get few option Bottom of ur screen. Like in Games u get new game,restart,save,import,Home.

Switching Apps

Alt+tab still works and it is same as in windows 7.

win+Tab here are the changes. Now we don't get th 3D interface As apps switches in screen.

Now u can use mouse to switch between couple of apps. Move y Mouse Cursor to left of y screen and then last active app thumbnail is visible. clicking on it u switch to th app.

Control Pannel

their is 2 mode of control Panels. One with metro ui and one old windows 7 style. (old windows 7 , :lol: Windows 7 is now old)Control Panel metro style is lite version of dektop Control pannel which link(link::"More settings") to desktop control Panel. ..



well I have not used much just an h or so. But I really didn't like integrion of touch controls in it. I miss th old start screen. New start screen is useless, if ur using mouse and keyboard. I like metro ui, It might/will be pleasant to eyes. but th touch integrion is not good. I hope in future release it option in installion wh type of "UI" you want old keyboard Or touch.

will Upde more if necessary. IF some one needs to know anything Pls ask, I will check and let u know. Installing any app or games not necessary or logical. as is not even Beta version.

Please move thread if I'm posting it in the wrong place please...I 'm new and I just want some help...

I edited the bios of my card with rbe editor and after a "successful" flash I got some major issues...The card still works but it doesn't show up as an i card so the drivers don't load...
I tried reflashing but th also fails since it doesn't show up as an i card and iflash declares "no i devices found"

I'm not the only one with issues...I've browsed the web and I'm seeing more people with the same issue...

The player should have expandable memory, FM tuner and recorder, should play audio ms like MP3, FLAC, OGG and others. I have Corsair 1333Mhz DDR3 (3x1GB) RAM Kit running on MSi X58 Pro E motherboard, with Win 7 Ultime 64bit OS

Now, as all x58 mobos support tri channel memory, my 3GB Ram kit only shows 2GB :confused:

It started to happen cpl of weeks ago,

scenario1: All 3 Sticks inserted in the 3 BLUE Slots
The System fails to start up (Constant Restarts) and does NOT even gets to the BIOS/POST screen

scenario2: All 3 Sticks inserted in the 3 BLACK Slots

1.) Wen i insert 1 RAM Stick, it gets properly Detected as 1GB (1024MB @ BIOS)

2.) Wen i insert 2 RAM Sticks, it gets properly Detected as 2GB (2048MB @ BIOS)

...but...

3.) Wen i insert the 3rd and final RAM Stick, boom..it gets Detected ONLY as 2GB instead of the normal 3GB (3072MB @ BIOS) :confused:


ALso, i Tried exchanging th RAM Sticks thinking th the 3rd Stick out of the 3 Sticks might be faulty, but its NOT the case...

Stick 1+Stick 2=2GB Detected.......... (Good case)
Stick 1+Stick 3=2GB Detected.......... (Good case)
Stick 2+Stick 3=2GB Detected.......... (Good case)
...but...
As soon as the 3rd Stick is inserted, its still stuck @ 2GB :(



So cant figure out ws the problem... is the RAM slots fault../??? :confused:

yeah so i have a hd 5770 the manurfacturer is VTX, id like to flash it to asus, ive got the i winflash tool, im using windows 7 64 bit, i downloaded a asus 5770 bios, when i open iwinflash with nothing loaded, should it list my current bios, because when i launch the program, it says current bios P/N N/A, is th normal, one last question, can i flash with any other manurfacturer bios as long as its 5770, because when you buy cards the other manurfacturers are quite a bit more expensive, if you can just get the cheapest one then flash with the more expensive ones then ws the point in them selling them. thanks any help

Gigabyte surprised many last year, when it broke its decadelong tradition of bluecolored PCBs to unveil its first black ones. Pictures of the first black PCB Gigabyte boards were first dismissed as Photoshop jobs, but after some confirmion, news posts carried quite some shockvalue. It's such small things th Gigabyte known to be quite particular about. Not th it's bad, Gigabyte is the second biggest motherboard vendor because many of its rigid design policies paid off, but some of these could work against the company.

One such the company's reluctance to use UEFI firmware on its motherboards. With socket LGA1155 and AM3+, we saw motherboard vendors of all shapes and sizes, including much smaller ones such as BIOSTAR adopt UEFI. Besides allowing vendors to deploy mousedriven graphical user interface the CMOS Setup program, UEFI addresses many glaring limitions of legacy BIOS, which n't changed much over decades. UEFI allows you to boot from volumes bigger than 2.2 TB in size. Eventually, storage volumes several terabytes in size will become mainstream, and th's the ticking timebomb th is BIOS, will blow.



Gigabyte tried to address the limition with wh it calls "HybridEFI", which is nothing to do with UEFI, but is rher an addressspace tweak existing AwardBIOS code th allows you to boot from large volumes. Th still leaves out the problem of Gigabyte's notably slow and convoluted CMOS setup program navigion. One genuine upside of HybridEFI is th Gigabyte able to provide BIOS updes to many of its older motherboards with 16 Mbit EEPROMs, th give them the feure. Gigabyte is hence the only motherboard vendor with socket LGA775, LGA1156, LGA1366, and AM3 motherboards th can boot from >2.2 TB volumes.

Finally, it seems like Gigabyte broke another big "tradition", th of using AMI BIOS over AwardBIOS. Award doesn't seem to have a temple UEFI firmware th vendors can work their own UIs on. Gigabyte's BIOS team is known to have programmers who have had firsthand experience in programming AwardBIOS, which could explain the company's slow transition to UEFI. Spotted on working models of Gigabyte's LGA2011 X79 motherboards on display IDF, Gigabyte is using an AMI UEFI BIOS with its own GUI. Add to , Gigabyte found a way to give its AMI BIOS the huge advantage of its pented DualBIOS technology, an automic redundant EEPROM switching technology th protects from damaged BIOS or failed BIOS flashing.

I was curious if anyone any experience with H20 Wireless. I'm not a big fan of contracts and I've heard some good things about H20 so far, one perk being th you can use any unlocked GSM phone AND you can also use phones locked to &T without unlocking them. I have an iPad and an iPhone 4. Both synced on same computer (PC). My iPad synced with the whole iTunes library while my iPhone was not. I have no problem all of syncing these device untill I want to upgrade the OS of my iPhone.

So my iPad synced with my PIM (Personal Inmion Manager) wich is Windows Adress Book. But my iPhone was not syncing with PIM.

Wh I concern is th iTunes back up the whole contact inmion on my iPhone even I didn't sync with the Adress Book?

I've done a lot of iPad iOS upgrade but never did it my iPhone.

I bought iphone 3G from ebay the other day and it came Jailbroken and unlocked. The thing is th my wife did something to it and now it stays the white apple logo. I've read a lot online and also in um... so now I know th I'm kindda screwed.

So I don't really know which IOS version was installed on the phone bee it went down... buy I would like to recover the phone unlocked. I don't care about the jailbroken stuff... I just want it unlocked and working again. Any ideas?

Tried to post bee, but it did not seem to work. I apologise if it becomes a double post.

1. How do I active the calendar without Google? I really do not want a google account as they have very onerous privacy terms.
2. How do I uninstall AP Mobile? its not very good, and even i ce stop it it reactives. It takes up too much of the internet allocion th i have. 3g is expensive here in Australia.
3. How do I uninstall other programs as Kobe, Talk, Voice command etc?
4. Does anyone know why Samsung does not allow us to deny sending personal inmion to the preinstalled applicions? I mean noone told me when I bought it th I have to give up my privacy to use the most basic functions in the phone.
5. no pages th are not from google or Samsung can I log in with password. Ie NAB, ozlotto, university blackboard. I can do th from other smartphones and tablets. Is there something I need to download?

I hope someone can help as these self activing programs take up way to much internet and of the already short btery life.

Basically, point i really regret buying phone. I hope th some answers can make my experience a lot better.

So I just played the demo Ace Comb: Assault Horizon on PS3. I was excited to play, after the last AC being Xbox exclusive. My first thought is: WOW. Just wow, but not in a good way.

The entire demo is a tutorial. Awesome! Since th's wh's the best part of any game, lets show th off! It's the only way anybody could comprehend WTF we've done with the game... since you need to use QTEs to get past the first dogfight :shadedshu

1. QTEs littered throughout. Examples?
> Dogfight mode. Honestly? Yeah, let the game fly the plane and give me supermaneuverable quicklock ultramissiles, since having two fricking hundred of the regular missiles isn't worth shit since enemy aces are invincible unless you're in dogfight mode(no, not tough, invincible... I hit one 12 times with regular missiles using about 50 to get the 12 hits, and probably about 60 seconds of aggrege MG fire. Oh, and they have unlimited flares which are 100% effective, too!) They don't even try to evade (compared to any one of the others in the series), they just sit there soaking up damage until you enter DFM, which point the plane flies itself and everything's reduced to pressing o until the plane dies (after about 5 missile hits) and you have to DFM the next ace

> "CounterManeuver" So, instead of letting me fly the GD plane like it was an actual aircraft, I can 'fly' it in nerfed mode, or wait until a certain set of circumstances are met and press a button combinion to make the airplane automically perm a nearorprobablyimpossible maneuver automically to escape the enemy


2. CODified plane. 200 Missiles, unlimited MG, Selfhealing airplane apparently made of flubber. AC always had a rookie mode th was basically an ultraarcadey mode, but flying straight down into the turf was always a deh sentence. Not anymore. BOUNCE! Oh look, red screen and "Critical damage" flashes, oh look, screen's a little less red, "heavy damage" on to "light" and back to perfect condition. The entire time I was playing, the same thought kept running through my head: Just let me do it GDit, no more of R2+L2 BS, If I wanted to play COD I'd play COD :cry:

3. Bumpercars Apache. It is physically impossible to crash the apache. Running into buildings makes a "bonk" sound, no damage. Not only th, but using two fingers I was flying top speed doing 360s in a straight line to the target in a perfect hover. The only way to die is flying in front of a large group of SAMs and AAA and letting the thing hover there until it finally blows up about 10K rounds and 40 SAMs ler.

4. "Cinemic" Gameplay. Yeah, I just blew th guy out of the sky. No, I don't want you to zoom the camera in, follow the missile, show him blow up, spray oil on the camera... all in bullet time of cse. *sigh*

I couldn't make it through the demo. If anybody here is all interested in the AC series, save the bandwidth on the download and PASS. AC04 the developers went to an airbase and recorded aircraft sounds. AC:AH, if the demo is any indicion, the developers went to the Activision School of Game Development and coiled a steamer inside a PS3 game case.

Is the Jailbreak using redsn0w untethered iPhone 3GS 4.3.5 on old bootrom?

Also was thinking of Downgrading from 4.3.5 to 4.3.3 but I don't have 4.3.3 shsh saved in tinyumbrella. From wh I read th an iPhone 3GS on an old bootrom could be downgraded just by putting it in DFU mode and holding down shift when clicking restore in iTunes and selecting the 4.3.3 firmware. Is true?

My college network employs a DHCP server to assign ip addresses to systems based on whether the MAC address of the system is registered in their dabase( we have to register it seperely). So practically speaking, each system gets assigned the same ip addresses everytime.
Earlier, using DHCP my computer used to join the network with a specific ip everytime (192.168.193.155 instance). Is it valid if instead of obtaining address repeedly by DHCP client, I stically assign the same ip, subnet, geway addresses to my system th were given to me previously? Would th permit me to enter the network?

ok.. maybe its just me th cant seem to get , I got my galaxy S II on surday added my songs from my other phone on it and every thing was fine but about two days ago I noticed all my songs without the actual album image on it, shows just one picture on all its display.
Like have got a song titled Surrender by Barlow girls but the picture on it when I try playing the song is Britt Nicole's lost & found album, and its like th hundreds of my songs and I just find it extremely annoying.
Please if someone can tell me wh to do asap th would be highly apprecied because is really getting on my nerves especially since I haven't succeeded in fixing it yet

Hi everyone, it seems th a lot of people had trouble with Shogun, but me its the same problem with RO:2.

Creing game cache.... hangs there after the last bar appears. I have tried changing my locion and download speed, re installing steam, and running steam as admin.

So I installed some updes morning, restarted my computer, then my SSD was no longer recognized in the BIOS.
I swapped SA ports/cables. Still nothing. I swapped power and still nothing. The drive gets power as the LED's
on the inside of the drive are lit.

is my boot drive, so I'm without a desktop now and I haven't had time to install an OS on my laptop yet.

Should I RMA the drive a new one? Or is there possibly a way to save wh I have?
