Hello all. I decided yesterday to try to turn a spare rig into a MC server, but after fiddling a while things just aren't working right.

System & network specs
Spoiler
Windows 7 Ultime x64
hlon II x2 245 @ 3.4GHz
10GB DDR3 1600
500GB WD Green

Linksys WRT160N
DDWRT v24sp2




I followed guide exactly. Port 25565 warded on my router. All f Ethernet ports on the router are , and the server is connected to port 4. The wireless internet coming from the router acting screwy. Sometimes when I try getting on with a laptop it will be as if it's broadcasting nothing all, sometimes I can't connect, other times it works fine.

The lest MC Server .exe is wh I'm using, and the lest Java is installed. In the server config file I've tried 25565 the "server port" along with nothing. "serverip" also tested with my WAN IP and nothing (the guide says to leave it blank anyway). I've also tried DMZ mode and warding two extra ports (9987 & 51234).

It always just said "unable to reach server" when you try connecting in game. I can provide any additional info or shots of the router menu if needed. After it's up and running I'll do the fix to allow Java to access all the memory.

I'm going to guess th they could not retain the current tapered m of the MBA. It would look more like a regular MB Pro. th reason it might be a tad heavier, but it might also free up extra space a larger btery, resulting in better btery life.

As mentioned in the title I cannot restore and unjailbreak my VZW iPhone running 4.2.10 tethered JB from Redsn0w. When I try to Option + Restore I click my 4.2.10 .ipsw file and iTunes will tempt to go to the restore process and when it almost finishes I get an error message with error code (1). I've tried 4.2.10, 4.2.9, and 4.2.8 files and have had no luck. DFU mode, recovery mode, whever mode I could find I've tried.

My iTunes is on 10.5 beta 7 because I did have iOS betas 37, but 7 was so buggy I downgraded to 4.2.10. If could be the problem could someone help me figure out how to downgrade iTunes back to 10.4?

If anyone had problem and can help I'd really apprecie it

I recently went back to using my iPhone 3g but my contract doesn't have the iphone internet add on package anymore, if I Jailbreak my iphone does it still use the iPhone internet or will it work with any internet add on pack. Basically I was just wondering if the Jailbreak still makes it work as an "iPhone" or it changes the OS to act like any standard phone just in an iPhone shell?

OK we have a member here on TPU th some may know. Hes here a while and kinda gone off the radar. Garyinhere off the grid a few reasons but the main reason is one of his kids is sick. I don't mean a little flu. I mean like Dr. House can't even solve it. Normally wouldn't be a major issue with insurance but a guy like Gary who is disabled its a big deal. He none and can't work. The details of her sickness are rough and would bring down a grown man let alone a little girl.

So to help the man out I am running a promotion in the TPU store. I am going to setup a few items with zero profit margin. I will also customize it them to say anything you want so long as you make a donion to Gary and his family. is all based off trust so if I do the work you I expect you to do the right thing in return.

So I've heard a couple of rums of an upded version of the SGS2 th was due to hit the UK market in June or so (obvs th n't happened!) The changes are th it will have NFC functionality and (possibly) 32GB of internal memory rher than 16GB.

I have trying to use CopyTrans Manager (free) to see which one I like better between CopyTrans Manager, and iTunes transferring music from my PC to my iPhone. It adds the music to my video section under the iPod on the home screen. Why did iTunes adds them normally? After they are done adding to the videos. Also, on my iPhone when I cree a playlist, and songs to it, when I play my music then when I press the home button to minimize, so it can continue playing, it stops playing. iTunes didn't do . How can I fix it? Could it be fixed?

I am experiencing a complete bizarre problem with my headphones....I bought a zebronics ZEB 3100 HMV( .5K) headphones three weeks ago..it worked fine a couple of weeks..but suddenly the right channel of hp became barely audible although the left channel kept working fine...somehow I have misplaced the bill theree was unable to claim warranty:cry:...then I bought a techcom SSD HP 212 headphone(.2k)...it worked fine few days...but now the right channel of the headphone is completely dead and the left channel is barely audible even volume of both headphone and system.:shock:
Both the front and rear jack is producing same result and also my mp3 player confirmed the headphone's faultiness.
However my Altec Lansing VS4121 is working absolutely fine almost a year now..can someone help me out here??Is it worthwhile to seek a replacement HP212 with warranty or should I go a pricey headphone???I can spend 23k a headphone provided it doesn't give up on me in weeks!!!!

My laptop possesses a Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN WiFi Card and a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Ethernet card.
I have provided a single ethernet port in my dorm and i want to broadcast it as WIFI using connectify/netsh command line.
I managed to get the access point going and the devices are able to connect to it, but the internet connection isn't shared.

The ethernet connection is MAC binded and i need a proxy given by the hostel authority to connect to the internet.
please help me connect my mobile and touch to internet using my laptop's wlan

my os is windows 7 home premium.

hey guys, new here as I've ran into some problems, including getting a black screen of deh, but lucky I was able to get back into download mode and get my SGS booted up and back to the home screen, the phone was on last night and seemed to be ok. but morning I turned off and back on and now it stuck on the opening Galaxy S GTI900 logo screen and powered by Darkcore & Darky's Rom below with the robot voice saying convert da partition and some other stuff i think about lagfix being actived/enabled

wh happened was i was trying to root last night using the Darkcore 4.0 JVS kernel in Odin 1.7. it went through ok but after is when problems started happening, the phone started up ok and i check using Titanium backup to see if it rooted but is wasn't, so obviously I've when wrong or not following things correctly.

last time I done a root was over a year with 1click root which was simple when i was running 2.1, but its seem a lot more trickier now with the new firmare.

dunno wh it is but it seems i'm a bit n00bish when it comes to reading instructions, I've doing my 'research' the past week or so bee I tempted to root last night and thought i would have ok, but apparently not..

Hey guys, a bit of an odd request here.

We have a customer who likes his porn. He likes it so much th he brought his computer in twice in two months a m and reinstall because it got hosed with viruses. My boss doesn't want him coming back in another month a third reinstall, so he's tasked me with finding a virusproof browsing method.

In the past, he used a dediced web browser VM based on some m of Linux to achieve , which was set to wipe itself every time it was closed, minimising the risk of virus infection. Trouble is, he can't remember where he got it or wh it was called!

Basically, does anyone know of one of these th I can try out?

Yes, it sure is, back with the Galaxy S1.

Haven't rooted yet cos I got how so am hoping th I can get to grips with all th again. No rush, all I want root is to block the annoying ads in certain apps and maybe use one or two other apps th require root them to work.

May go a custom rom but not in any hurry to start messing with all of th to be honest. Phone is nice and fast, smooth and does wh it says on the box basically.

It would be rude not to root though wouldn't it? Lol. Won't do it today as one of my bunnies is the vets having his head examined, lol. Seriously, he a bulgy eye, prognosis may not be good and it's being xrayed to find out wh is actually wrong. So my mind isn't on much else today.

Anyway, it's good to be back, all set to be throwing my toys out of the pram again in the not too distant future I expect. Rofl

I've recently started learning VC++ and it's coming along quite nicley, I've now given a little task by my boss to add a button to an excisting Incident report program.

All the button needs to do is open a new explorer window and open the folder selected in the incident report program. There isn't a deadline it, it's just to assist in my learning.

But will Wson just give insurer's a way to deny a claim faster than ever bee?

"Ultimely the goal here is not denying trement but getting people to the right care," Beer said.

Beer said pients shouldn't worry th Wson will replace humans the insurance giant. If a doctor veers from Wson's diagnosis or trement recommendions, the insurer would have a doctor review the case, just as it currently does. Wellpoint says it won't base a claim decision solely on the supercomputer, but wants to offer providers a tool th helps lead to better trement outcomes.

Wson's program won't be rolled out until early next year, when a pilot is set to begin several cancer centers, academic medical centers and oncology practices. Wson's next jobs will probably also be in the health care arena, but financial services and public safety applicions are on the horizon, Saxena said.

PCs following voice commands isn't new. Windows comes with Speech Recognition and voicecommand feures, which when properly configured, can serve as a gre accessibility feure. MSI plans to take voice commands a step further with wh it calls "Voice Actived Motherboard" technology. The feure extends voicecommands to OSindependent ACPI functions such as powering on the PC from halted ste (cold booting), suspend it, or powering down, both graceful (OS shutdown) and ceful (power off).

The feure depends on a daughterboard accessory th requires a PCIExpress x1 slot. daugherboard connects to the motherboard using a special header found on some recent MSI motherboards th labelled "JDLED3", and a mic/line input. JDLED3, we assume, gives the card some lowlevel connectivity to the board th it can't have through HAL. The rest of the daughterboard looks to have a some legacy circuitry and an ADC. On the OS side, MSI will deploy the Voice Genie software which can be used to get the device to recognize y voice and set y own voice commands. The software probably could even be used to suspend voice recognition. Otherwise, imagine telling y Teamspeak buddy ingame to "restart" the server or a map, and the board following a system restart command th sounds identical. MSI says th accessory will have a "more than afdable price."

just built a new system,p8z68 m pro,2x4 gskill ripj 1600mhz,antec 650 bronze 80,giga 6850 oc twin fan etc,all is running well,but the idle fan speeds of the gigabyte are constant 46%,

its ramping up fine under load[lest games etc],and doesnt get th hot @1920x1080 27" monitor, in game video settings hi,temps[around 5055c]

yet idle it seems a high rpm not under load? i have used trixx,msi afterb etc to make profiles and stuff,but ths not an ideal solution to me,there are no new bios from giga the oc model,does anyone have an opinion about the fan idle speed? is th too high?

do dual fans cause anomalous readings in relion to fan speed %,?

in my build,i had to reverse the way the power supply faced due to size problems,so i made my own mounts and turned it around in the case and ran the cables around the front to solve the problem,its a big enuf gpu mx case, and would not fit any other way,could be affecting the gpu,s idle speed,having the psu vent in oppo way to intended position?it now vents onto gpu,notice the tiny gap gpu power cable, least i could manage cables cleanly way,the right way as intended was just impossible to do,lol[check fotos]

when i drop the fan speed down to 3638% it only goes 12 c higher,just wondering about and apprecie any advice ,ps,hi to all here,gre community,thanx,dave in aus.:):toast::respect:

Morning good folks,

I've having some problems with my iPower GX Q some time now, my GPU(Nvidia 9800M GTS) seemed to overhe randomly and the fan just wouldn't rev up, speedfan and rivuner could not change the fanspeed and I thought it was a lost cause.

However!

When browsing packard bells web specific drivers etc I found th there was a BIOS upde my computer. In ignorant bliss I downloaded and installed said BIOS in a mter of seconds.

And ths when my computer started crashing.. The BIOS i had installed was the 9800M GTX card not GTS. :S

The overheing issue was solved though. The fan revved up the approprie time and not above 100C like with my old BIOS. And mostly I only crash when playing 1080p in my internet browser.


I would love to hear some thoughts and advice on how to proceed. : )

I'll try to make a long story short. I'm new to iphone since I'm on Verizon and got one as soon as they came out. I'm also on a Mac if th mters.

1) Started with 4.2.6 and JB it with GreenPoison on the first day. Phone worked OK but I could never upde carrier settings, neither OTA or through itunes. I was fine with th, but still noticed th it was a problem.

2) Some apps required higher version so I decided to go to 4.2.8 since there was an easy JB through JB.com. I tried upding through Itunes and kept getting the 1013 error. I downloaded the tinyumbrella and between putting the phone into recovery and unrecovering, in about 2 hs of hitting buttons even after the 1013 error and Itunes saying the upde failed, the phone somehow rebooted and I was running 4.2.8

3) JB the 4.2.8 with JB.com and used the pdf pch from cydia. Phone was running fine but to skip over a lot of things, I needed to upde to 4.2.10 even if i lost the JB. So today I tried to upgrade to 4.2.10 and I kept getting the 1013 error again and exiting recovery in tinyumbrella did absolutely nothing but literally duplice my phone under "current devices". eventually i had like 5 iphones listed and it just shutdown.

I got the phone exchanged curtesy of the local store and i'm extremely greful. The replacement phone is 4.2.6 and now I'm scared to JB again. I've went through 2 versions of JB and it got progressively worse and eventually y bricked my phone.

IS the nure of JB? Some go fine, some brick phones? I don't think I want to take th chance again, but wondering if is something th was specific to my phone, to mac or does happen to everyone eventually?

I just traded some random guy my MT4G his iPhone 3GS. The question I have you is he had it jailbroken already and I have made a bunch of mods but cannot access iTunes my music. I understand th when I restore the phone, I will lose jailbreak and since I did not do (nor am I very knowledgeable on how) I am learning all I can. Wh info can I find you all to figure out how I need to go about getting my music and getting everything set back up the way it is now. Here is wh I do know:

Easter Sunday Calculor
Enter the year: 1985
Easter Sunday is April 7, 1985

The mula is a complex one and produces the correct day any year from 1900
through 2099. I have broken it down into intermedie steps as follows. Frequently, Easter
Sunday is in March, but occasionally it is in April. The following mula calcules the day of
the month in March of Easter Sunday.

let c = year % 7
now start to put these pieces together
let d = (19 * a + 24) % 30
let e = (2 * b + 4 * c + 6 * d + 5) % 7
finally, the day of the month of Easter Sunday is

However, if the day is greer than 31, then subtract 31 days from day and the resulting value in day is in April instead. But the equion is off by exactly 7 days if these years are used: 1954, 1981, 2049 and 2076. Thus, when the calculion is finished, if the year is one of these f, you must subtract 7 days from the day variable. The subtraction does not cause a change in the month.

Today I noticed a lower case 'i' icon with three dots in the upper corner on my camera and gallery applicions. It doesn't do anything; in fact, it's actually behind the 'switch view' button on the camera app, and in the gallery app it is behind where it says 'Gallery'. :confused:

I'm wondering if anyone knows wh it is or how to get rid of it?

Hey guys, Im having a ROCK solid 60 FPS whenever I play WoW in dungeons, questing... except some more graphic intense areas...

But more importantly, whenever I'm in an Area with lots of people, it drops by 20fps sometimes...

I have a beast of a computer, and I had hopes th it would E alive WoW... But I'm very disappointed...

"Less than 20 per cent of the transmitted power is dissiped in the circuit," says Ohira. The team presented its work in May the Internional Microwave Workshop Series on Innovive Wireless Power Transmission in Kyoto, Japan.

With enough power the system could run typical passenger cars, says Ohira, and the team are now developing a smallscale prototype to prove it. He admits, however, th the system's energy loss is "much higher than regular bteries".

John Boys, an electrical engineer the University of Auckland, New Zealand, notes th with system, the metal pads on the road would need as much as 50,000 volts to power the car, the same voltage used to opere tasers. "You wouldn't want to step on th," he says.

If ever came to pass, it would totally remove the enjoyment of driving. It would sound the deh knell any kind of permance cars. They'd all be bog standard and very boring. However, I believe it would be too big a job to change the infrastructure of the whole country, so it will never happen. :)

Hello, Helpers.

I need some much needed assistance with a sudden, unknown boot issue.

Symptoms: My PC is nearly three years old. I have had no issues. A few weeks ago I cleaned out the dust with an electronicsafe air can. A week ago I heard two quick intermedie beeps (if I recall correctly) during a start up. I turned off the computer and it rebooted fine. morning when I tried to boot my computer my screen repeedly froze (more than one tempt) on the "Lifestyle P5Q Deluxe" boot screen. I cannot enter the bios. The screen stays frozen. I've tempted to boot from my windows xp cd, but I freeze on the same screen. Interestingly enough, I can run the "express ge flash top," which was of little help. I assume my motherboard is in some way fried. Can anyone confirm ?

Asus P5Q Deluxe Motherboard
Intel Core TM 2 E8500
4gb DDR2 800 Memory
Nvidia 280 gfx
I can't remember the hard drive off hand, but it was showing no signs of imminent failure.

Hi all, I got my Samsung Galazy S2 week and I love it! Its my 1st android phone and I can't stay off it. Still learning my way around it though. One thing I can't figure out is when I'm using the internet on it how to exit it without having to press the back icon through all the pages I've browsed. There doesn't seem to be an exit button and when I want to leave the internet if I just press the home button it just goes back onto the same page I was using bee when I go back onto the internet. I also can't delete my brower history even after looking up how to on here. Also not sure whether I need an anti virus. Do any of you have any cool tips to do with the phone or some really cool apps you know about?

I cannot find th commercial i have missed the REPLAY on ESPN America becuase i got here a different broadcast thus a different schedule (looking the US one rher than the EU one) and now i can't find any more replay on their sadly.

The stupid facebookers (which was the place we were warned about it by Rage official page) only commented as being gre and sweet instead of filming the damn video.

The promo commercial is quite long so you should spot it in the 3 h mch , it's probably in the 48 minute when the spiker says "and we're off a break" ... the DL vids are ALL CUT and do not show the +3 minute commercial.

Nobody found it as of yet the communtiy was searching everywhere on youtube o guess so i posted here some more much apprecied reincements. Maybe paying VODS still contain the commercial i don't have means to access em and probably it's USonly. (hulu and netflix and stuff like th)

I've always heard good comments concerning XSPC products so I decided to go XSPC as my new WC kit. January 2011, I bought from FrozenCPU (US) the Rasa 750 RS360 kit th had an outstanding value. I had the impression th pump was a little bit weak, but the temperures were good, everything worked as it should so I think it was just a impression ( I only wanted to mention). The big problem th worries me was wh happened to me yesterday 13/09/2011. I was playing a game as usual when I got a blue screen. After th the pc wouldn't boot. I tried again and it started booting when I received the CPU OVERHE warning. I quickly turned it off but when I looked the cpu block I noticed th the wer wasn't flowing. The pump had completely stopped. My i7 was super hot and so was the first DRAM module, the closest to the cpu (I think it was damaged). The tubbing th comes in and out of the cpu block seemed to have melt a lttle bit. Today I tested the pump with other power supplies and it won't start. As a result, I'll have to change the tubbing, the pump, the i7 may be damaged as may one of my memory modules. Wh should I do? Buy everything again from my own money ? Should I contact XSPC or FrozenCPU first?
I have no experience on these mters so I need some advice.

Heyas folks I decided to do some minor upgrades, but I'm having some problems. When i put the new ram in, my pc just shows a blank screen. Pop just the old ram in and its fine. Tested each new stick separely in all my ram slots but both of them wouldn't work. Tried underclocking the ram, changing the timing and resetting the bios, but no luck. Also yea, the sticks are firmly in place.

Hello everybody, I am considering getting 4 adsl2+ connections my house to enable my server 24x7 uptime, and ofcse so me and my internet addicted missus can also play some games from time to time. I want to link/connect them up with a multi wan router or load balancer or whever other interesting names these wonderful devices might have. I realise th these might actually be 2 sepere devices, and if so, which do i want, need or would be best suited to the situion.

I was hoping and wondering if anyone any experience with setting up such a device, is it hard, are there any things i need to consider?

I also dont really know much about who makes these things and wh are good brands, so some suggestions would be excellent?! It would be most ideal if you have had hands on experience with such device, however something th comes highly red in a review will also be fine!

[Mob] Multipli (FREE App)

so i wrote an app my son who just turned 8 and is going to be learning multiplicion year. the app is called Multipli and its a universal app (App Store Multipli). its a very easy to use app and i just released version 2.0!

Version 2.0 now 2 separe tabs, practice and quiz. practice works like an index card (even the index card as a background). you select a # the top, swipe left to reveal the answer. Quiz lets you put the answer in yself and it tells you if you are right or wrong.

Please download the app and try it out. remember to leave a ring, i only have 7 so far and its out since may. feel free to reply here with any comments or feedback on the app. Thanks!

Hello,

Just a few months ago, I bought an HP Pavilion dv66119tx laptop. Its configurion is as follows:

Intel Core i52410M 2.3GHz
4 GB DDR3 RAM
640 GB SA HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6490M (1 GB GDDR5)
Intel HM65 Chipset

Currently my laptop runs on Windows 7 Ultime.

I want to install Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. But the problem is th I have no experience with Mac all. Can someone tell me how to install Mac on my laptop?

By the way, I do not have access to any Macbook/ other Mac installed device.

Please note th I do not want to run Mac on a virtual machine. I want to cree a dual boot machine ( Windows 7 + Mac Lion ). Hopey th is possible!

today he faced a problem....

one error message displayed "Quarantine log file seems to be corrupted tempting possible recovery"

And C drive is because of ...

is networking domain a low paying job?

lots of people are telling me to avoid getting into networking domain

first of all it a tedious,hectic and low paying job.
secondly sys admins are not given respect as compared to software engineers
thirdly the growth in terms of salary is very slow...


eg
ccna = 22k 12k + coaching
ccnp = another 20k
rhce,mscitp,msce,rhcss etc etc(optional) = 20k each

and all you get after so much time andexpenses is a 2025k salary
which stays stagnant almost 34 years

you only get paid higher if u get a CCIE certificion...
which is a costly affair and time consuming
need least 56 years of exp

ccie = 1.5 2 lacs

they say instead get an MBA
but im not all interested in doing MBA

my plan was to do ccna +ccnp
then try jobs

Not sure is the right subum to put in but here goes.

Looking to get a new monitor, I mostly use my PC just web browsing/office stuff, but I casually game on it like just got Tropico 4 and am waiting stupid SWTOR (why is it taking so long!). Actually once SWTOR comes out I'll be doing a lot of gaming of th on it. I don't wch movies/shows on my PC, th's wh my 60" tv and PS3 is .

I know I want a 27" monitor, I currently have a 21" and I had bought an LG 23" a year or two ago but I returned it after a day because, though it was nice picture, I didn't feel it was big enough wh I wanted. I've borrowed my friends 27" Asus a day and loved it, er loved the size wasn't crazy about the monitor itself (was indifferent, figured there are better)

I'm willing to spend up to $400 on one but would rher be around $300350 range. I'm finding lots of options but finding it very hard to find any useful inmion to narrow it down. Most I can't even find reviews (I guess cause in range they aren't the BEST of the size) and even not finding a lot of user reviews, wh those are worth.

So to recap I'm looking a 27" monitor between $300400 and just any opinions or links to s where I could try and narrow down search. I'm also looking to just pick one up Fry's on Friday when I get paid, though if there were one th was clearly exceptional in range then I'd be willing to order it and wait. ($400 limit is bee tax).

[Tech] Galaxy Gtx 560 ti giving black screen

I just got card 2 days ago from newegg,

Bee 560 ti, i had a sapphire 5670 installed, so i used driver sweeper to get rid of the drivers bee i installed the 560 ti.

Installed the 560 ti just fine, no problems. Hooked up the card via the dvi to vga adapter and it worked fine. First problem was th i realized th i couldn't get the resolution 1920x1080 via the dvi to vga adapter. So I bought a dvi cable. The 560 ti wasn't outputting to the monitor, but then i realized th the monitor wouldn't accept the dvi because it was single link.


So i have a dual link dvi cable coming in the mail, but the main problem now is th now th i tried to switch back to the dvi to vga adapter to connect my monitor and 560 ti, it only gives me a black screen after windows boots up. I get to the login y name in win 7, then right after it logs in, nothing but black screen. Any ideas how to get it to work?

Hello, Ive had a x850xtpe the last 8 years :O looking a new card now.
note th it will be wercooled, overclocked, and hopey will stay overclocked another 8 years. So the power design on the card should be good.

which is better of the refrence/msi designs? or any others

the rest of my computer is also quite ancient, I need a new monitor. cpu is 2.8ghz a64 x2. not much difference to new ones really :O

Hello all,

I am considering purcing a 120hz display primarily 2d gaming and movies. I am torn between a 120hz screen@~23in. vs a 60hz screen@~27in. Which do you think is a better choice me? Does 120hz add a noticeably smoother gaming experience over 60hz? I'm not asking if you think it is worth the money, just if there is a noticeably positive difference.

Does any one any 120hz monitor recommendions or 27 in lcd recommendions?
